“Broken Innocence” Chapter 14

The Grand Fisher looked at the two creatures in front of him with sheer delight. They were more than he could have ever dreamt they would be. The Grand Fisher backed from his team and said aloud to them all, “Now you all belong to me, you will do as I say or pay the ultimate consequence. Do we all understand that?”

The team looked to their leader and roared in agreement, all was going as planned. The Grand Fisher was pleased to see his ultimate plan coming together so nicely.

Orihime finally turned and ran. She had all she could handle. After all this was her first glimpse at a Hollow and the three she had seen were probably the worst that she will ever see. She raced back to the Urahara shop as quickly as her feet would carry her. She ran through the shop entrance. She was completely white and out of breath.

Rukia looked at her and asked, “What has happened to you, are you okay Orihime?” She was worried about her; the girl did not look good at all. All of a sudden, Orihime dropped to the ground.

All of the excitement had been too much for her. She had seen more than she could comprehend and her mind had shut down. Every one rushed to help her; they were all confused about what had just happened.

Just then, Ichigo walked through the door with the girls who had been training him for the last three days.

“Ichigo, help. Get Orihime upon to the cot over there. She just collapsed and I am worried about her.” Rukia says in a huff.

After Orihime was resituated, the group began to ask how his training had gone and if he had come up with any plans for Hideo and the Grand Fisher.

“Weren’t you guys supposed to be thinking about that while I was training?” Ichigo said aloud. Everyone looked at him.

“Oh so that’s what we were supposed to be doing?!” laughed Orihime, “ I totally forgot about that.”

“Well obviously she isn’t going to be of any help here” scowled Rukia. “I think she’s had one too many bumps to the head I think its better that we just leave her out of the plans this time.”

“Huh, what was that you guys’ I cant hear you; there seems to be a slight ringing in my ears” whined Orihime.

“Yeah now that you mention it so do I, hey is anyone else hearing this?” But before anyone could answer Ichigo, an immense blast of spiritual energy tore the calm to pieces. Every one with the exception of Orihime were thrown violently against the wall, Orihime screamed as she saw Hideo standing ominously at the huge hole in the wall that was created by the blast.

“YOU! YOU SAW US DIDN’T YOU!” roared Hideo, lurching toward her.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about!” cried the cowering Orihime.

“You saw us downtown right? You saw what Ichigo is up against right?!”

By this time, Rukia had managed to pull herself upright and now on her feet, and was slowly making her way over to Orihime and Hideo. Quite extremely puzzled at the reason why Hideo had not attacked Ichigo, let alone the rest of them Rukia plopped herself down right next to Orihime.

“So is there something going on between you to that I should know about?’ questioned Rukia. Cause this is one mess that just keeps snowballing up the weirdness factor.”

“I’m not terribly sure myself, but before I came here to find Ichigo I was out shopping for lunch for you all and I saw this young man and that giant fish hollow chase down two men’s’ souls and turn them into hollows!”

Suddenly Rukia got angry, jumped to her feet, grabbed Hideo by the collar, and thrust him forcibly against the wall. “Is that so you little runt, whose souls did he use?”
screeched Rukia, “Whose souls did he use!”

“You know I’d be much more talkative if you let me down from here” grinned Hideo sheepishly “I might even tell you why I haven’t killed you yet, of course that’s if you play your cards right”

Rukia scowled because she knew he could have killed her even if he was in her grasp and against the wall, for some reason she knew it to be true and she slowly lowered the boy. “Ok, so out with it lets start again beginning with your name what is it again?”

Hideo slowly and silently took his time adjusting his collar, “you have to be nicer than that to get me to talk.”

Rukia was just at her snapping point, she had had just about enough with this kid when she finally blurted out “Alright what is it that you want you know that we are your enemy and you ours. What’s up with all of these niceties all of a sudden why can’t you get straight to the poi….”

Rukia was interrupted by a large shadow that was cast over her entire body; she looked up and saw Ichigo fuming excitedly above her. He had a bump on his head the size of a tumor, but he seemed to notice little of this because he was furiously glaring at Hideo.

Ichigo raised his fist and power drove it straight down on the top of Hideo’s head, take Hideo to his knees, Hideo grabbed the top of his head glaring up at Ichigo.

“WHAT THE HELL WHERE YOU THINKING?!” Ichigo growls looking down on Hideo.

“I was making an entrance.” Hideo exclaims.

“AN ENTRANCE… THAT’S WHAT THE FRONT DOOR IS FOR!” Ichigo barked.

“The front door is over rated. The way I entered gets peoples attention.” Hideo replies.

“Over rated…” Ichigo chuckled in a lighter tone as he turned looking at the mess Hideo made of Urahara store. Ichigo quickly turned, anger written all over his face, Hideo was getting to his feet as Ichigo brought his fist crashing back down on the top of Hideo’s head again.

“LITTLE PUNK YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ONE OF US!” Ichigo exclaims.

Hideo was back on his knees holding the top of his head again, “Sorry, I guess it was a little extreme.”

Rukia was still standing there taking all this in, as she could not figure out the change in this boy and why he had done a total 360 in attitude toward them.

“Why are you here and what is with the attitude change?!” Rukia asks him with a slight distrust in her tone.

Ichigo and Rukia stood over Hideo looking down on him as he got to his feet, Hideo looked at the both of them as Ichigo questioned,

“Well you going to answer her or do I need to start pounding on you again?”

Hideo walked between them as they turned and watched him, “I am Hideo Nakamura, and I am here because I need your help.” Hideo replies with his back still to them.
