HELLBOY (Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Rupert Evans) Excellent movie. Very entertaining. And different than most other movies out there right now. Perlman will make you laugh your butt off with his antics as a cigar-chomping, horn-filing demonic hero. A recommended watch, even worth buying. Rating: 4.5 out of 5 |
THE LADYKILLERS (Tom Hanks, Marlon Wayans) Quirky kind of movie. Entertaining but don't know if I would recommend bothering to rent it. Definitely not worth buying. If you have Digital Cable I would recommend just waiting until it comes on Movie Central so you can watch it for free. However, everyone has different tastes. Warning: there is an excessive amount of swearing in this movie. Don't watch with young children around. Rating: 2 out of 5 |
TAKING LIVES (Angelina Jolie, Ethan Hawke, Kiefer Sutherland, Olivier Martinez) This movie is not too bad. I enjoyed though there are a few moments in it where there are some slightly gruesome scenes but nothing too bad that most shouldn't be able to handle. You may or may not figure out who the killer is before it becomes obvious. The ending was good though. Gives you that "Gotcha" kind of feeling Rating: 3 out of 5 |
THE DIVINE SECRETS OF THE YA-YA SISTERHOOD (Sandra Bullock, Ellen Burnstyn, Fionnula Flanagan Great movie but very sad. Cried almost all through this movie. Not that that says much about me! Most women would definitely enjoy this chick flick and would probably want to buy it or at least have it in their collection though may not watch it again for a long time as it is very emotionally draining. A must see for all women! Rating: 5 out of 5 |
UNDERWORLD (Kate Beckingsdale, Scott Speedman) Vampires versus Werewolves. If you are interested in fantasy movies like this, you may be interested in this movie. No major violence or gore but still somewhat entertaining. Ends with the idea that there will probably be a sequel though I don't think it did well in the theatres or in rentals. Worth watching for free on Movie Central though. Rating: 3 out of 5 |
