Filters
Filters is one of the most important for your koi pond it will clean up the waste.
Three kinds of filtration methods are mechanical, chemical, and biological.
Home
Mechanical Filtration- This is simply the mechanical removal of solid debris as the water passes through a suitable medium.
Chemical Filtration- The filter medium exerts a chemical influence on the water mostly to eliminate odor.
Biological Filtration- This method of filtration makes use of natural biological processes to purify the water.
Plant filters they are like biological filters because they removed nitrates from the water.  But koi usually destroy plant landscape you can put barriers or make it as a part of filter chamber. And make sure to have a good aeration because plants consume oxygen at night.
Undergravel filter this type of biological filter is essentially a larger version of the system used in aquariums.  But this one is powered by a submersible pump not like the ordinary undergravel used airstone but some do use sumbersible pump but it is sold separately from the undergravel set for the aquarium.
Chamber Filter system is the most widely used for koi ponds. It can have all the types of filtration.
This is a filter chamber and it will be needing a filter media to work the system
