| Nishikigoi, or Koi are national fish of Japan. Nishiki is the Japanese word used to describe a highly couloured cloth. Goi or Koi is the Japanese name for Carp. Together Nishikigoi means coloured Carp. Today many people keeping and breeding koi worldwide and still growing. But Japan still grows the best koi in the World. Israel, Singapore, China, USA produces and exports koi. Taiwan also starting in the world of koi business. Many more countries starting to adopt koi as their pet and source of income. Now Philippines is Developing koi breeding and trying the export industry of koi. |
