Pond Maintenance begins with first warm sunbeams.  In spring the ponds needs special attention.  To make sure that you always enjoy crystal clear water and healthy fish,  here are some advice for pond care in spring

Only when the water temperature is above 12C or 54F, otherwise postpone water maintenanceIf needed do some partial water change.  And add some water conditioner and treatment to remove cholrine.  Be very careful, the fish are still very stressed druing this time and are easily injured.  You can add to prevent algae.  And check water flow to have adequate oxygen.

Check water quality and jumpstart the biological filter with treatments to reduce algae if needed

You koi will start to come out and ready to look for food, feed them a low protein food.  Feed the fish with easily digest food.
