The fully scaled fish wherein the fish is covered with scales. |

Fish where the scales essentially are found only on the back, almost symmetrical on both sides of the dorsal fin. These fish are called Mirror Carp. |

Fish where the scales are found along the back as in the Mirror Carp, as well as along the lateral line. These may be referred to as "striped carp" or Zipper. |

Fish which there are no scale at all are called "leather carp". |

Fish which random exaggerated scales strewn about their bodies, these are still reffered to as "German Carp". |
