| 6/15/2000 | Discussed with my kids the Julia Strudwick Tutwiler women's prison in Alabama. The kids agreed it was good to allow the mothers to tape and send stories to their own kids, as the kids at least get to hear their mother telling stories to them. Communication is a vital part of the family structure. This allows the mothers a chance to keep the chanels of communication open so that when they are released they can hopefully have a better chance at a normal family life. |

| 7/14/2000 | Listened to recorded versions of the previous 2 tales and noticed it was a lot more interesting to hear told in ones own words than just reading it. The kids enjoyed hearing the stories again also. |
