Hi, I'm Larry_bee. I'm a separated 41yr old dad of 2. A 5 yr old boy and a 6 yr old girl. I work as a Cook and Baker for a restaurant in my hometown. Previously, I was in the U.S. Navy for 11 years as an Electronics Technician and an instructor. I started learning about Computers in High School and really got hooked on them. I have taken electronic courses learning how to build a computer and how to program them. My first computer was a TRS-80 Model 1. Then I moved up to the model 4P which made it easier to move around because it is about the size of a sewing machine. (I still have one that works) Lately I purchased my Gateway Computer and started to learn all kinds of new things. I got onto the internet and discovered the world of homepages, but had no idea how to make one. So, I started looking around and found lots of information on HTML. I bought several books and taught myself what to do. I found out that Heartland University, now Web Tech University, had HTML classes so I enrolled in them to make sure what I was doing was correct.(If you need help let me know. If I can't answer your question right away, I'll find the answer!)I was so hooked that I took the classes on Tables, Forms, and Frames. Then still craving more info I took the class on Javascript. Now, armed with all my new-found knowledge I wanted to share some of it so I joined the Community Leaders in Feb. 1999. After I had been a leader for a couple months, I joined the Seasons Committee (now Heartland_Holidays)and enjoyed making the seasonal pages for different holidays. In Jan of 2000, I became the Chairman of the Committee. I also applied to become a Co-Liaison and was elected in Feb of 2000. I have about 10 Cls that work with me keeping up our CC and visiting other homesteaders sites looking for bee-you-tiful sites which we award with a special graphic.
