Warrant Officer Corps Ball
Mark and I attended the Warrant Officer Ball recently.  We hemmed and hawed over whether we were going to go, but at the last minute, we decided to.  Although we had a good time, what made it worth-while was the fact that Mark won a Palm Pilot in the raffle drawing.  We had bought only ten tickets for a dollar each. Only after we had bought them did we see the amount of tickets to be drawn; there could have been hundreds of them. We didn't think we had a chance at winning ANY of the prizes.  Wow! What a surprise to hear Mark's name called!  Although I don't have any snapshots from the ball, Mark and I did get our picture taken there.  You can see the picture and a copy of the program below:
We had a nice time although this Ball was not as well-done as the NATO Ball we attended in March.  We sat where we wanted and were able to converse with some friends most of the evening.  Mark and I also danced quite a bit until my feet got too sore from the shoes I had worn.  We also brought home the two wine glasses that were given to us as part of the meal, as well as two extra ones that no one wanted.  They each had the Warrant Officer crest and the words "USAWOA European Region" on them.  Not the most beautiful glasses, but nice enough.
Each lady  received a rose as she entered the ballroom.
