BARNABY WHITFIELD'S SOLO SHOW
MARCH 20th  -  APRIL 19th
143 LUDLOW ST. NEW YORK NY
This collection of pieces came about after a simple discovery of the hazy, transparent property of ordinary sketchbook paper.  After trying a number of methods to explore the human body partially sumerged under still water, this method was born.  Each drawing resides on both sides of the same sheet of paper.  Each piece is framed between two sheets of glass so light can pass through given the chance.

These works premiered in a solo show for the month of September 2007 at City Feed and Supply in Jamaica Plain MA. Art for the people. Seven pieces were then a part of a group show at 31 Grand Gallery in Manhattan March - April 2008.
