Security Test
This guide will tell you how to test your online security and your computers security and to see if your firewalls and proxy servers are working correctly.
If you do not know what these things are and\or do not  have them configured please visit the the online security page by clicking here. Once you have located this page go to the links and they will Give you guides.
So you have read the guides on the online security page time to test your PC's security level.  The first thing you want to do is a port scan this scan your ports to see which ones are open if there are open ports.  The portscanner can be found at the Apps page so download it and scan yourself by typing in the ip 127.0.0.1 once you have a list try opening a DOS prompt by going start<>run then type cmd or command.  In the command prompt type {telnet 127.0.0.1 [the open port] and press enter if any writing comes up then your firewall is not working properly.  You may want to do this from you freinds house then the ip>127.0.0.1 would be your acctual ip that you can get by going to DOS and typing ipconfig.
The most common attacks are DDOS or Denial of Service attacks these attackes cost websites huge amounts of money this year combined it was 27 million from 16 million last year.  There are ways to test yourself by using programs in the Apps section.  These tests must be done from a freinds or someone else's house.  Go to a DOS prompt and type ipconfig to get your ip then go to your freinds house and go into the apps section of site and download IGMP type in your ip and press igmp.  Remember to put make it do it 20 times.  If it works your computer will be unreachable.  This means your firewall is crap or not properly configured.  You can also use Netsend that can be downloaded from the apps page to do almost the same thing this will also test your security in this area.

More will be added soon I'm very busy at the moment.
