Suggestions   (you will later learn how to do these things) 1.  Have a Firewall Preferably even a hardware firewall (If you do not know what a firewall is then click on the link further down the page.  BlackIce Defender is very good 2.  Run a proxy server with Internet Explorer (Will be explained later) 3.  Use MultiProxy If you use this then step 2 is not needed 4.  Turn off the stupid messaging Service that comes with XP 5.  Encrypt your hard drive 6.  Have a Virus scanner McAfee is probably the best.  Also make sure to keep up to date on definitions. 7.  If you Have Aol then encrypt you conversations with Trillian Pro 8.  Encrypt your email 9.  Use a track eraser for Internet explorer I will put one in the Apps section that can be accessed from the homepage. 10.  Use a program to check for Adware the best is a free program called AdAware its in the Apps section.
