                 Skin Cream(s)
Making skin cream  is a little more complicated, but the results are worth it. Skin creams (good ones anyway) are very expensive. If you're on a budget this is the way to go.
              Skin Protection Cream
                Oil Phase
1 ounce beeswax     1 ounce coconut oil
4 ounces almond oil
10 to 20 drops essential oil(optional)
               Water Phase
2 ounces distilled water
2 ounces glycerin
1 teaspoon borax (Yep, the laundry stuff)
1/2 teaspoon vitaminC powder
             How to Make
Heat oils & beeswax in a non metal pan; add essential oil when warm. In another pan, heat the water, glycerin, borax & vitamin C powder. Heat both to about 160 to 175 degrees F. Place the water phase ingredients in a blender and turn on high. Through the opening in the blender jar cap, dribble in the hot oil phase. When thoroughly mixed, pour into jars. Cool & cap.
This is the basic recipe. Just like the salves, you can add herbs  & oils of your choice. When adding herbs, Steep them in the oil BEFORE beginning to make the  cream. Some nice essential oils are lavender ( very soothing) carrot seed  (good for mature or sun damaged skin) ylang ylang (smells great) or your own choice. Oils can be grapeseed, almond, olive or your choice. Just keep the ratio the same as the above recipe. Experiment!  It's very inexpensive so if you don't like the results, you're not out much. Unlike those expensive boughten creams which even if you don't like, you feel you must use
Cornmeal makes a really good scrub for rough hands & feet. Just wet hands, add cornmeal  and rub together briskly.
               Rosemary Hair Oil
This is a biggie in the natural food stores, usually very expensive. It is also very easy & cheap to make.
2 tablespoons dried rosemary
1/2 cup olive oil
Mix together & heat but do not boil. You can also microwave on high for 2 minutes. Cool & let stand for 3 days to allow the oil to absorb the essential oils. Strain out the herb. massage a small amount into your hair before shampooing and/or before going to bed.
