The Lion Dance Email List is up and running! With ongoing discussions about the art of lion dancing, we can be a great tool for the advancement of lion dancing. We officially started the list March 29, 1996, with about 20 members, and welcome anyone who is interested in lion dancing to participate. To subscribe to the group, send a blank message to list-subscribe@liondancing.org..

To send a message to the list, send it to list@liondancing.org You could also write to me and ask me for more information on the list.

In the almost 6 years I've been running this site it's evolved so much! Starting out as a personal hobby page, it's grown into what many believe to be the biggest and best site around for finding lion dance information, groups, and equipment. It's even been accused of being the first Chinese Lion Dance related website, but I don't know if that's true or not. Since it's no longer a personal page I took my biographical info off the main page here and moved it here instead.

Chances are, if you're here you already know what the Chinese Lion Dance is so I won't bore you with a description of it. If you're unfortunate enough to not know what it is, browse the site for a bit and especially take a look at the Articles section.

When this page first started way back in 1996 there weren't too many resources anywhere detailing origins and other aspects of Lion Dancing, but that's all changed now! This page is maintained to keep track of as many pages with Lion Dance information on them as I can find. If there are any that you know about and I'm missing, please let me know. Keep in mind though that I am not a full-time webmaster and there is no paid staff maintaining this site, so there may be some delay in updates.

On a lighter note, believe it or not, Lion Dance is also the name of a Chinese Restaurant in Melbourne, Australia! If anyone's ever eaten there, let me know how the food is…

There's also the Lion Dance Guestbook, maintained by Rob Teng. Please sign in!
