Through my window I see the gifts God gave to me
The beautiful mountains and the lovely scenery
From the chipper of the bird to the babblin' brook
He has blessed me always with such a lovely look
Now we country folk don't live in constant sorrow
We have many dreams come true and think of tomorrow
Country living is so good for the soul
We have fruit a plenty in the counter bowl
When I'm feeling lonely I wish I had a neighbor or two
That's just about the time that I come spend time with you
Perhaps the distance between us is so many miles
I look at your pages, and I see your smiles
Now I know the world's on an axil or so they say
Is that why the weather changes, come what may
Just today a friend said she was getting snow
As I watch out my window seeing changes below
