You would give anything to play

It is hard work

Under pressure or under the sun

Glistening sweat

Trickles down my forehead

Life the rain dripping down a window

This sport is dedication

The meaning of commitment

This sport is demanding

The building of nerves

You got to have aggression

The need for speed

You got have to drive

The hurt and dirt

That first step is all it takes

To feel the sensation

Once you have begun

There is no leaving

Because softball is an addiction

That won’t be kicked.
