| Once again I was in the pet shop with no intention of getting more rats, when I saw the babies in the tank. Obviously this is becoming a familar tale by now!! I couldn't resist these three - Ella, a black mismarked cardigan, Maggie, a fawn bareback, and Abby, a silverfawn. (All colours pending confirmation when their adult hair comes through!). Currently they are in quarantine in the lounge. Ella is the most outgoing, and always has a comical expression on her face. She loves to be pushed over and have her tummy tickled, and she sleeps with one arm dangling out of the hammock. Her other trick is perching/laying on the chord that holds up the hammock, like some sort of furry lizard! Maggie is the most outgoing - usually the first to run to the edge of the cage to beg for attention. She likes to sleep perched on the rim of the litter tray. I don't know how she manages not to fall off. Abby is the cuddliest of the three. She seems to hang out with Maggie mostly. Today she was stuffed into an empty ceramic dish by Ella, and squeaked the house down while Ella sat on her. She likes to sleep with her head hanging right out of the hammock. Very odd. When they are big enough the will join the big girls. That will be one cage full of trouble, I can see it now!!! Home |
