What Becomes of You

Now that the little boy becomes a man, no one knows what will become of him.  Only with a lot of love, understanding and help will the man live a productive life.  The scars will probable always be there but hopefully in time they will fade.

I pray that the man will give and receive the love that is deserved by the ones he trust the most.

*To my son: I know that we really haven't spoken much of what you had to go through as a young innocent boy. I know that when you are really to ask questions and want to hear the answers you will ask.  You were so young and there is many things that probable just have not come to surface yet.  As a mother it broke my heart to not be there to protect you from such abuse. I did fight tooth and nail to get you out of there. Only to find out later in years that the abuse continued.

Even though our relationship has been distance for years, I love you with all my heart and only want the best life for you. You have been through so much and I think that has only made you a stronger person. May each mountain that you must climb bring you new victories and peace that you are seeking. Always remember no matter what, day or night,  I am only a phone call away. I will do whatever it takes to help you out, even if it's just leaning an ear to you. May God bless you Son.

I'm Here for You, My Son

Sometimes when I look at you, Son

I see so much of myself ~

I see you struggling to find yourself,

I see your independent spirit searching to establish your own

individual identity,

trying to follow your own beliefs,

dream your own dreams.

I know what you are going through, Son,

and I know what a difficult time this is for you.

I want you to know that even though

you'll make mistakes ~ as I have ~

I will stand beside you,

I will defend your right to be you.

I believe in your goodness ~

I feel confident that you are on your way

to becoming a strong and wonderful person.

I want you to know ~

I am, and I always will be,

very proud that you are my son.
