CAVY STORIES
One day, my mom was vacuuming our house.  Our cavies HATE the vacuum.  She was using the attachments to clean the stairs, which are right near their homes.  My mom lifted the attachment hose into the air and scared Coco.  Coco lept into Micah's house (which is right next to hers).  Micah, seeing a fuzzy red thing fly into her house, jumped into Coco's house.  LOL!  Their homes are about a foot tall!
Cavies are always great for a good laugh.  Micah is a scaredy pig sometimes and she can be very skittish.  One day, she had her head stuffed in a large, cardboard tube and was chewing on it.  Well, I walked by and unintentionally scared her (she couldn't see who was walking by).  She backed out of the tube quickly but didn't actually get out.  She fell backwards into the corner of her home with the tube on her head!  She was 'sitting' on her rear, hind paws splayed out of the bottom of the tube.  I peered down into the tube at her fuzzy face, laughing.  I wanted to get my camera and take a picture of it!  But she seemed really freaked out so, while laughing at the poor pigger, I pulled the tube off of her head.  Still laughing, I petted her to calm her down.  I wish I had a picture of that!
Cavies LOVE food.  Our piggers love to get run (we place them on the floor and let them run around and get some exercise).  We like to make them think, sometimes, when they get run so we hide food (usually lettuce) in tubes, under overturned tissue boxes, etc.  They love to find the food.
One day, when the girls were getting run, there was one piece of lettuce left for them; they had found all the others.  My brother decided to put the last piece of lettuce on Micah, to see what she'd do.  She didn't even notice it and waddled around looking for more food.  Surprisingly, it didn't fall off!  Coco and Micah both smelled the lettuce, but didn't know where it was.  Soon enough, Coco found the lettuce resting on Micah's back and took it.  When she started to consume it, Micah gave her a look like "Where'd you get that?!"  After Coco finished off the lettuce, she went to get more.  She started to chew on Micah's fur as if lettuce grew off of Micah!  Of course, Micah was not pleased with being chewed on so she snapped at Coco.  My brother and I laughed so hard at this event.
Cavy Track and Field:
Yup, cavies can be athletes.
Sprinting: Our girls love to get run.  They're pretty good at short bursts of speed.
Hurdles: One time, while our girls were running, Micah lept over Coco as if Coco were a hurdle!
High Jump: When I sit in a chair, if Coco's on the ground, she'll run towards the chair and jump straight up to try and get to me!  She has great jumping ability.  Recently, she actually made it up into the chair! (It's about 1 foot high)
When we got our first guinea pigs, Rusty and Rascal, we had to 'train' them how to use a water bottle.  The breeder they came from used dishes of water instead.  So we had to have both a water bottle and a dish of water in their homes.  Well, the first time Rascal drank out of it, she got water all down her face!  It was adorable watching our little cutie with a soaked face!

A Cavy Story from Coco's breeder:

Her first pig was named Tribble.  She got her in college from someone who wasn't taking good care of her.  Her favorite time was laundry sorting time.  She used to run through the piles of clothing on the floor.  She would carefully check the path around the room the first time.  Then, the second time, she'd run around the room at top speed.  Well, one time she slipped on a magazine laying on the floor.  The next time around, she remembered that it was there and lept over it.
