Harold's World of LON®
Harold Welcome to the LONsite.  Here you can find a random collection of software and documentation about LonWorks® technology and the Neuron® Chip.  I've collected and/or created this stuff over more than 10 years of working with this fascinating technology.

Please feel free to download, read, modify and use anything you find here to help you in building intelligent distributed control networks and devices using LonWorks.  Share it with your colleagues - link to it from your own web site, or even better - mirror it.  You never know when this site might just disappear, and the information lost for ever.

Everything you find here is either the product of my own fevered intellect, or freely available from other places.

Reactions to This Site
On February 15, 2001 I posted a message on the Echelon Discussion Board to inform the LonWorks community about this site.  The
webmaster deleted it within eight hours.
On February 16, I received the following message:
I am a lawyer representing Echelon Corporation.  We have grave concern about material accessible through your website, geocities.com/lonsite.  Please have your attorney call me (or call me yourself if you do not wish to engage an attorney at this time) as soon as possible so that we can minimize the consequences.  C. Randall Bain, Brown & Bain, P.A.
On February 20, Mr. Bain called me and requested the removal of several files from this site.  He asserts that some of them contain information considered to be Echelon proprietary.  Others contain software over which Echelon claims copyright.  I regret that these files are now no longer available on this web site.
On July 5, Michael Tennefoss (Echelon's VP of Product Marketing) requested removal of more files from this site.  Some of them are copyrighted by the EIA.  Others "contain errors and might be confusing"
