SEASONS
IN THE WOOD
autumn

No one can tell me,
Nobody knows,
Where the wind comes from,
Where the wind goes.

It's flying from somewhere
As fast as it can,
I couldn't keep up with it.
Not if I
ran.

WIND ON THE HILL

from
Now We Are Six
Autumn: A time when the leaves fall,  the days begin to get a little colder.  Where you can find pine cones on the ground and collect them.  The wind gets stronger, sometimes blowing things right away (nearly blew Piglet).  Where the best thing, is being with friends and doing great stuff together.

"........Now one Autumn morning when the wind had blown all the leaves of the trees in the night, and was trying to blow the branches off, Pooh and Piglet were sitting in the Thoughtful Spot and wondering.........."

"........They got up; and when Piglet had sat down again, because he didn't know the wind was so strong, and he had to be helped up by Pooh, they started off."

"The wind was behind them now,
and Piglet's ears streamed behind him
like banners
as he fought his way along...."

winter

The more it snows
(Tiddely pom),
The more it goes
(Tiddely pom),
The more it goes
(Tiddely pom),
On snowing.
And nobody knows
(Tiddely pom),
How cold my toes
(Tiddely pom),
How cold my toes
(Tiddely pom),
Are growing.

"He sang it like that, which is much the best way of singing it, and when he had finished he waited for Piglet to say that, of all the Outdoor Hums for Snowy Weather he had ever heard, this was the best. "

Chapter One

The House at Pooh Corner
Winter: A good time for rugging up to keep warm.  To sit by the fire and have friends over.  It is also a great time to go visit with friends if it does not get too cold.  A time to make sure that you have your umbrella with you in case of rain, even play a seasonal game of golf?

It's the time of year that you look forward to getting the tree for Xmas;  and if you are going to get the tree it's best that you get ALL your  friends to help.

......."Hallo, Eeyore," said Christopher Robin, as he opened the door and came out.  "How are you?"
"It's SNOWING still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore.  "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately."
