Well, even though I love my gardening, it is so nice of you to come past.  It gives me a break for a little while.

Everyone has been talking about you and I have been expecting you to come past. You wish to find out all about me as well, that's very nice.  Well, let me see, My name is Rabbit,I have very good intelect, and I quite tall as far a rabbits go.

I have said to Owl, "Owl you and I have brains.  The others have fluff."  I am very good at spelling, I have been told that I can be a bit pushy, but I really do like to organize things, and love to take charge, especially organizing everyone here in the Wood(it's natural for me to do so)

I do tend to lose my direction if I have not been to a place before.

I live here in the 100 Aker Wood, my address is 100 Aker Wood North, just a little south of the Sandy Pit Where Roo Plays.

As I said to you when you came in I love gardening, and love vegetables, they are the best thing to eat.  Do you like eating your vegetables?  You should they are great.

I really must tell you, I do try to avoid Pooh at lunch times, and I do not like being iterrupted, especially if I am busy doing something.  I dont really like being bounced by Tigger either.

Now let me tell you about my family I have  a lot of family members, and if you ask me how many "Friends Relations" I have I cannot tell you, there are just too many for me to count.

This is of me signing a Poem that Eeyore wrote, after I gave notice of a meeting to be held at the House at Pooh Corner to pass a Rissolution By Order to the Left Signed Rabbit.  We had all found out that Christopher Robin was going away, and we wanted to do something about it. .....

I said at the meeting after the Poem had been read and clapped at, that
"The rissolution is that we all sign it, and take it to Christopher Robin"
So we all signed and took it to him.
You know that I love to be doing things, well let me tell you about one of my busy days...no, on second thought, I will let Mr Milne tell you...

From Chapter Five: Winnie-the-Pooh

In which Rabbit has a busy day,
and we learn what Christoper Robin
         does in the mornings.

It was going to be one of Rabbit's busy days.  As soon as he woke up he felt important, as if everything depended on him.  It was just the day for Organizing Something, or for Writing a Notice Signed Rabbit, or for Seeing What Everybody Else Thought About It.  It was a perfect morning for hurrying round to Pooh, and saying "Very well, then, I'll tell Piglet," and then going to Piglet, and saying "Pooh thinks - but perhaps I'd bettter see Owl first."  It was a Captainish sort of day, when everybody said, "Yes, Rabbit" and "No, Rabbit," and waited until he had told them.

He came out of his house and sniffed the warm spring morning as he wondered what he would do.  Kanga's house was nearest, and at Kanga's house was Roo, who said, "Yes, Rabbit" and "No, Rabbit" almost better than anybody else in the Forest; but there was another animal there nowadays, the strange and Bouncy Tigger; and he was the sort of Tigger who was always in front when you were showing him the way anywhere, and was generally out of sight when at last you came to the place and said proudly "here we are!"

"No not Kanga's," said Rabbit thoughtfully to himself, as he curled his whiskers in the sun; and, to make quite sure that  he wasn't going there, he turned to the left and trotted off in the other direction, which was the way to Christopher Robin's house.

"After all," said Rabbit to himself, "Christopher Robin depends on Me.  He's fond of Pooh and Piglet and Eeyore, and so am I, but they haven't any Brain.  Not to notice.  And he respects Owl, because you can't help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even if he doesn't spell it right; but spelling isn't everything.  There are days when spelling Tuesday simply doen't count.  And Kanga is too busy looking after Roo, and Roo is too young and Tigger is too bouncy to be of any help, so there's really nobody but Me, when you come to look at it.  I'll go and see if there's anything he wants doing, and then I''ll  do it for him.  It's just the day for doing things."
QUOTES FROM ME  (RABBIT)
"Messy?  It's ruined Tigger!"
"Pooh-Bear, how about lunch?"
"Oh, dear mercy me!"
"Oh dear, just look at my beautiful garden."
"Why don't you stop bouncing?"

I hope you have enjoyed the stay, please come past again, I am about to busy myself, you can busy yourself as well, and have a look around the Wood.  Woo can be found somewhere, she has something for you, for being here with us.   Good luck and have fun... Rabbit
Bye
