CLASSIC POOH PARTY COLORS. Classic Pooh has the soft pastel colors, that remind us of days gone by. The Classic colors used are: Pale Yellow Lavender Pale Blue Soft Green Pale Pink. CARDS AND INVITATIONS First impressions last forever. Perhaps you could use this idea to make a lasting impression. Address each envelope with a metallic pen. Write the return address as Pooh c/- of your address. Add lavender balloon confetti inside the invitation. Seal the envelope with Pooh stickers. DECORATIONS Ideas to set the theme. Hang light blue cloud gossamer or muslin on the walls of the party room. Hang Pooh streamers in a scallop on the top edges of the wall. Hang lavender tissue balls from the ceiling. Scatter pale yellow and soft green balloon confetti on the serving tables. TABLE DECORATIONS There are several ideas that can be used here. You can buy the commercially available Pooh table runner or cloth. Or you can use pastel colored material that can be hemmed. Place pink sizzle wrap down the center of the table like a runner. Sprinkle balloon confetti (color of your choice) on the wrap. Place serving items on the runner. PARTY FAVORS AND FUN STUFF You want to make this a Party to remember!! Give each Pooh Friend a co-ordinating loot bag, filled with awesome small toys(appropriate to the age of person) e.g. Funny glasses, beehive wigs, Pooh stickers, little yoyo's the list goes on. BALLOONS Nothing makes a Party quite like Balloons, and for a Pooh Party one must have the right balloons. They can be used in so many ways. Make a co-ordinating center piece for your table, driveway or entrance. Use the balloons in the Party colors. Pale yellow, lavender, pale blue, pale pink and soft green. Blow up the assorted color balloons with hellium. Tie the end of the balloon with white curling ribbon. Tie all the balloon strings together around a weighted can. Now take lavender and yellow gift bags and put the balloons inside each bag. Finish off by filling the bags with white or pale blue crinkled tissue paper. Place a small bee or two in the bag. These can be got from party supply shops. COSTUMES Dressing up can BEE so much fun!!! Pooh's friends will love a costume party. They could be dressed up as any of the characters. Perhaps the Party Person could be Pooh and the invited friends come as the rest of the 100 Aker Wood Gang. You will find a wide selection of Pooh costumes etc., at hire places. If Classic Pooh is hard to find then I am sure the appropriate color T Shirt etc., would be just as wonderful. MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT Pooh and his friends just love to dance and have musical games. There are a lot of Music channels that you can browse. I am sure the Pooh Person will have ideas that will just HAVE to be used. Depending on the age of the children, there are a lot of games that can be played with music, you could play Musical Log instead of chairs, Round and Round the Bee Tree instead of Mulberry Bush.(see below for a couple more) FOOD AND BEVERAGE You could have a picnic theme or sit down or buffet. Whatever you choose, smackerals are very important part of your Pooh Party. Home fried chicken fingers, celery and carrots with ranch dressing, macaroni and cheese, little honey cakes with pastel frosting. Honey or sprinkle sandwiches. Leaving the best till last- rich vanilla ice cream with carmel sauce and of course the Pooh birthday cake. You can make a cake by photo copying a pic of Pooh and using it as a template. Using a butter sponger recipe, make large enough for the head of pooh - cut around the template...using colored frosting (yellow) and using icing markers, mark the outline of Pooh and the eyes and color the nose. Place on a board covered with a pastel color.paper or fabric. Place bees (get them from party suppliers or cake shops) and you have a delightful Classic Pooh cake. *S* |
SEND A CLASSIC POOH BIRTHDAY CARD from POOH'S HONEY POT MAIL |
GAMES AND ACTIVITES POOH BEAR SAYS Play this game like Simon Says: Pooh says: Wiggle your nose, touch your ears, clap your paws, rub your tummy, shake your belly, check for Eeyores tail(look at other child) plus many more ideas. PIN THE BEE ON POOH BEAR'S NOSE This could be done a couple of ways, Have a felt Pooh Bear cut out, and use velcro backed bees. Stick manets on the back of small ply bees, and use the fridge door for the Pooh Bear to be on. Or you could use the old pin(like pin the tail on the donkey) You could even play pin the tail on Eeyore. WINNIE-THE-POOH GAME Give each child a picture of a Winnie-the-Pooh character. e.g. Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Rabbit etc., Everyone has a chair to sit on, except for one child, who goes into the middle of the circle. She/he calls out a character's name like 'Winnie-the-Pooh'. So all the child with Winnie-the-Pooh gets up and changes places while the caller sits down on someone's chair. The the child who doesn't have a chair to sit on goes into the middle and calls out a character. BALLOON GAME This is a bit like the egg and spoon race, only using a balloon. Carry a blown up balloon on a spoon and race across the room WITHOUT the balloon falling off the spoon. Once on the other side the child has to sit on the balloon and pop it. (Please make sure to pick up the pieces, so that no little ones can place it in their mouth) MUSICAL GAMES POOH STOUTNESS EXERCISE Get the children to stand up and sing to this one as they do the actions: Pooh Bear, Pooh Bear turn around, Pooh Bear, Pooh Bear touch the ground. Pooh Bear, Pooh Bear reach up high. Pooh Bear, Pooh Bear touch the sky. Pooh Bear, Pooh Bear bend down low, Pooh Bear, Pooh Bear touch your toes. THE KANGA AND ROO JUMP Little ones love this Just put on the music, and let them jump around madly like kangaroos, they hop and bounce and just love this game a great deal. I hope that some of these ideas help you to have a Wonderful Classical Pooh Party. |
