          On March 05, 1943,at 20 years of age, I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at Chattanooga, Tennessee and was soon on my way to the Marine base in San Diego, California. While there I completed my basic training,and was also trained as a Communications Specialist. I am proud to say that I served my country during World War II and the Korean War.

          Hopefully,sharing the memories and experiences of my service will remind us all of the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom in all wars. Let us also remember those who are still missing in action or prisoners of war and continue to pray for their safe return.
