| DO GUESTS HAVE TO SPEAK? Be honest; that is the biggest barrier that is keeping you from visiting a Toastmasters club. We will be honest, too. You will have to speak; however, the only speaking requirements you will have will be to return greetings that many of our fellow members will offer to you and to let us know your name so we know what to add behind the word "welcome". That's it! We would love to have you as a guest and to provide you an opportunity to see what our club is all about. So please take a single Thursday lunch hour and come have lunch with us. Here's how: 1. Contact our President, Scott Krahn or Secretary, Elke Gribskov 2. You may bring a lunch or you may purchase a lunch from Boise Corporation's great dining facility. After all, our club's name is "Lunch Rappers". (Editor's Comment: BC's dining facility has fantastic food and pretty much everything is under $5!) 3. Watch and listen to the meeting. We will provide you with a guest packet that will help you learn more about Toastmasters. After you have seen one meeting, we are positive you will be intrigued by the opportunities Toastmasters will provide. 4. Ask questions from any club officer and/or any member. Keep in mind that we are all in the same boat as yourself and we are here to help each other. Do not be afraid to ask questions; it helps us practice our Toastmasters skills. We hope to see you at our next meeting! Thursdays from 12:05 PM to 1:05 PM - only 1 hour! |
