Stabbing Westward
"Stabbing Westward"
SW's 4th release
is by far their most interesting, though it may disappoint some of their
older fans. In their latest installment, SW leans a bit away from
their previous hard edge industrial sound and heads to more acoustic and
melodic areas. It seemed to me that they were reaching for this with
tracks like "Waking up beside you" on Darkest Days, but weren't quite able
to get there. Well now they found what they were reaching for.
As an enormous fan of SW, I was pleasantly suprised by their latest album
and I give it an enthusiastic thumbs up.
Hmm
This isn't a pan,
just a beef. Is it just me, or does everything Rob Zombie do sound
the same? Go with me on this.. Take all Robs solo stuff, and
the White Zombie albums and mix them all together. No real noticeable
difference right? Don't get me wrong, I like both but its starting
to get a little repetitious... C'mon Rob, knock our socks off! |
