AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL RESCUE EQUIPMENT
EQUIPMENT
Each member is responsible for all of the equipment that they will require while operating in the field.  A list of personal equipment is below.  Failure to have a piece of the required equipment may result in being denied access to the operation.

Each item in the list has been included because of a particular operational requirement.  While doing search and rescue, it is important that you have all the equipment in order to remain effective and autonomous.  Failure to have the proper equipment will make you less effective, putting the subject, your fellow rescuers, and yourself at risk.

Having the proper equipment is taken very seriously.  Australian International Rescue will make the final decision on whether you can go, based on the equipment and clothing that you are carrying with you at the time.  This will be done before you leave Australian headquarters.
