What You Must Know About the Genetic Purity Program
back to the Thought Police site
This is probably one of the most misunderstood programs in our nation today.  People fear it for the brutal and plain reason that they fear that some day they might be deemed genetically impure.  What they don't realize is that genetic rejects are never killed.  Even though some slight lifestyle alterations are made, they are still productive members of society.  They still have rights and freedoms, even if a few of these have to be sacrificed for the genetic good of everyone else.

The genetic purity program was implemented to put a stop to the downward spiral that began with industrialization and was destroying the human race.  More and more people who were weak physically or mentally were surviving to reproduce, leading to their genes becoming more and more prolific in the gene pool.  We noticed that certain genetic defects like being born with tails were simply corrected at birth, and thus stayed in the gene pool too.  Something had to be done.

When we first started the genetic purity program, we focused on the most pressing problems.  Mental retardation and severe physical deformity were the first to go.  The people afflicted were not killed, but merely moved to a separate location where they could be properly looked after while still making their contributions to the greater good.  These camps provide such things as electricity and produce.  The genetic rejects were necessarily steralized, but otherwise were left unharmed.  You have no doubt noticed that retardation and most major genetic deformities have been eliminated in our nation.

Next we hired an expert group of scientists who worked for years to determine what levels of intelligence and physical health would be the minimum, and what specific genetic mistakes would be rooted out.  This second group of genetic rejects was rounded up through some standard testing, and they make up the current population of the camps.  It is hoped that as they, too, die of old age, the bar may once again be raised.  Eventually this must produce a healthier, more productive population.

It deserves notice that the genetic purity program isn't run with reference to race or gender.  The only thing that is considered is physical and mental health.  Obviously, an equal proportion of males and females should exist in our nation, so this has been taken into consideration.  However, nothing else regarding race or gender has been incorporated, or ever will be incorporated, into our program.
