What You Must Know About the Research Program
back to the Thought Police site
There seems to be a strange attitude about some branches of our honorable research program. The same people who are daily helped by the many innovations and discoveries made by this program claim that it is inhuman and immoral. We find this attitude illogical, to say the least. You must understand that our research program is only conducted on prisoners of war, genetic rejects, and criminals who would be sentenced to death or life imprisonment anyway. Do not believe the lies about us picking up vagrants and random people from crowds for our projects. We would never do research on good citizens, even if we had good reason for it. If it ever appears this way, you can be assured that it is merely a very rapid, but still just as thorough, execution of our justice system. Our research programs have already made great advances in medicine, making it more effective and more available to the average citizen. They have also helped us with the increased effectiveness of our armies, helping with the replacement of limbs, incororation of weapons systems and improvement of bodily strength and stamina. They have developed better means to control wayward citizens, providing both biological operations and mechanical implantations. Those detriments to society chosen for the research program should feel honored that even in their final days after a life of depravity, they may still help our nation flourish. |
