BACK TO THE CRESTED LIST HOME

This breed must conform to the self black standard.

The coat is to be black - including the stomach and feet.

RIGHT One of my black crested sows "Grand Champion Dunvegan Egalite". Jazzm'n is her daughter.

The eyes are black, and the ears are to also be black to match the body colour.

LEFT Another  black crested sow I used to own  "Grand Champion Mt. Louisa Jutta" shortly after winning Best in Show at the 2001 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

The cavy must have an appropriate sized/shape crest which is to be positioned between the eyes and the ears.

Up until 2002, this breed, along with the crested pink eyed white, were all placed together into the "aoc crested" class, and wereonly split if there were three cavies of the same breed.
