THE CRESTED GROUP
Almost every breed of cavy can be crested.

A crest is a deep rosette that is positioned centrally between the ears and the eyes.
It forms a circle, where the hairs open outwards, forming a pin point centre where little skin can be seen.
In order to breed a crested cavy, at least one of the parents MUST be crested themselves.

The crest always appears white, and in Australia, the coat must be of a "self" colour
