CA275 Establishing a Corporate Intranet
Intranet building blocks, network architectures (OSI Model), server architectures, client architectures, intranet content, security, organizational impacts, document management, intranet applications, intranet system management, host system integration and extranets, Microsoft Explorer, Netscape Navigator, FrontPage, and PowerPoint.
MT272 Networks III: Advanced Networking Operating Systems
Covers installing, configuring, and customizing network operating systems (NOS) for optimal performance in enterprise client/server networks.  Provides hands-on training in advanced networking concepts.  Students will install, configure, optimize, and use routing systems to integrate LAN and WAN systems using network cabling and wireless systems.  In addition, this course helps to prepare students for industry certification.
CA272 Homesteading-World Wide Web
Advanced HTML, Paint Shop Pro, Microsoft Notepad, JavaScript, VBScript, Cute FTP, HTML editors, color (text, links, vlinks, background), graphics, sounds, tables, lists, animated GIFs, hit counter, frames, pull down menus, push buttons, check boxes, emoticons, Web Page design, publishing on the Web.
CA271 Computer Networking
Network applications, physical layer (architecture, devices, circuits, data transmission), data link layer, network layer, Local Area Networks, backbone networks, MANs, WANs, network design, network management, network security.
MT270 Networks I: Installation, Operation, Troubleshooting
A study of microcomputer-based local area networks (LAN) principles, system architecture, and operation.  Included are common network topologies, cabling choices, LAN operating system, monitoring and performance software.  Students will configure, assemble, integrate, test and operate a small LAN.  Network administration responsibilities, problem isolation techniques, and user support issues will be discussed.  Prepares students to take the CompTIA Network+ Certification.
CA260 Desktop Publishing-I
Microsoft Paintbrush, PageMaker 6.5 for Windows95, style sheets, text blocks, text flow modes, master pages, story editor, scanning, bitmapped graphics, object-oriented graphics, inline graphics, newsletters, brochures, frames for text or graphics, design principles, effective layouts.
CA261 Desktop Publishing-II
Microsoft Paintbrush, PageMaker 6.5 for Windows95, style sheets, text blocks, text flow modes, master pages, story editor, scanning, bitmapped graphics, object-oriented graphics, inline graphics, newsletters, brochures, frames for text or graphics, design principles, effective layouts.
CS225 C Programming Language
Selection structures (if, if else, switch), loops (for, do/while), decision switch, functions, arrays, strings, streams, pointers, structures.
CS215 Visual Basic Programming
Concepts of event-driven programming in the Microsoft Visual Basic 5.0 and VB6.0 environments: subprograms, functions, if blocks, select case blocks, do loops, for next loops, arrays, bubble sort, shell sort, control arrays, two-dimensional arrays, sequential files, user defined data types, random-access files, list boxes, combo boxes.
CS213 Java Programming Language
Wrote programs to calculate change from an user-entered purchase amount, to report the frequency for each integer number read in which were sorted, to return a boolean to indicate whether a string was a palindrome, to generate 36 random numbers stored in six integer arrays, and to encrypt user-entered messages.
MT220 Solid State Devices
Introduces solid state devices used in radio and wireless communication systems.  Topics will include but not be limited to atomic structures; P-type and N-type semiconductors; bipolar junction transistors and amplifiers (BJTs); field-effect transistors and amplifiers (FETs); basic OP-Amps and their applications; active filters; oscillators; basic receivers, amplitude and frequency modulations.
CA172 Exploring the Internet
Netscape Communicator, Internet history, browsers, URLs, electronic mail, listservices, usenet newsgroups, Telnet, FTP, World Wide Web, Web search engines, grading web pages.
MT140 Microcomputer Configuration and Installation
An introduction to the personal computer hardware system and the various subsystems that can be added to the basic PC to expand its capabilities.  Hardware options such as displays/monitors, expanded memory, co-processor, hard drive, modems, printers, scanners, and multimedia will be discussed.  The process of setting up a computer with its subsystem configuration, together with running the verification software, will be defined.  Included in the course is preventative maintenance and hands-on opportunities to troubleshoot and configure systems.
CS140 Pascal Programming
Techniques of structured programming: design and style. Created, coded, loaded, executed, debugged, and documented programs using the Pascal programming language.
CS136 Systems Analysis and Design
Study, analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of systems, tools used in systems development.
MT127 Microcomputer Control Programs
An introduction to microcomputer control systems.  Topics include DOS, Microsoft Windows, Linux and Novell.  Students troubleshoot a variety of software related problems.  In addition, prepares students to take the software section of the CompTIA A+ Certification.
CA120 Computer Applications-I
CA121 Computer Applications-II
Microsoft Office97: Windows95, Word97, Excel97, and Access97. Creating/editing a document, worksheets, formulas, formatting, charts, what-if analysis: creating, querying, and maintaining a database.
CS110 Computer Concepts
Programming language hierarchy, elements of a software system and program implementation, significance of data processing, business systems, transaction-based systems, management support systems, ethical and social issues.
