Chapter 3 Matt and Jeff showed the girls around their small town. They visited their old elementary and high schools. Dakota got a couple of good shots of Jeff holding a kindergartner and both boys with their high school football coach. Mia interviewed a few of their old teachers. The second time they go in the cars, Mia rode with Matt so she could ask him a few questions, leaving Dakota to ride with Jeff. Jeff wasn’t a very big talker, but he seemed very comfortable talking to Dakota. "So, did Matt talk your ear off in the car earlier?", he asked with a laugh. "Yeah. Is he always like that?", she asked. "Yeah. All the time. Sometimes I just have to tell him to shut up.", he responded causing them both to laugh. "Where are we going now?", she asked. "He wants to show you two the old trampoline where we use to practice.", he replied. When they reached the trampoline Matt said, "This, ladies, is the place where it all started. This is the beginning spot of the now famous Hardy Boyz." Dakota leaned over to Jeff and whispered, "Is he always this cocky, too?" Jeff busted out laughing, "Yep, pretty much." "What’s so funny?", Mia asked. "nothing.", Jeff replied as he glanced over at Matt, "Sorry, bro, you were saying?" Matt climbed onto the trampoline and sat down. The others joined him. The two brothers told them the tale of how the made it to the WWF and their rise to the top. They then began to tell about losing their mother to cancer when they were younger. It was then that Dakota saw a completely different side of Matt. She saw how much love he had in his heart for his mother. As he spoke, she felt the hostility that she had previously felt for him melt away. Jeff must have noticed it too, as he poked her in the side and smiled. "What?", she asked innocently. "Nothing.", he replied with a smile. They then headed to the entrance to town. Dakota instructed the boys to stand on each side of the "Welcome to Cameron" sign. She got a couple of shots in, then Jeff suddenly took off his shirt. Matt followed suit. She shot a couple more. Jeff walked out into the middle of the street and sat down, "Get a shot of me sitting in the street." "You’re very strange, Jeff Hardy.", Mia said as she watched Matt walk over and stand next to him. "Me? Strange?", he asked laughing. Dakota took a couple of more shots. "I hear you ride motorcycles.", Dakota said to Jeff who nodded affirmatively, "I’d like to get a couple of photos of you riding if you don’t mind." "An excuse for Jeff to ride his cycle? He won’t mind at all.", Matt said sarcastically. Dakota pushed her long brown hair behind her ear and smiled at him. They piled back into the cars, swapping passengers again, and headed to Jeff’s. Jeff got on his motorcycle and took off down the highway. The other three followed in the rental car. Dakota snapped a few of Jeff riding, at one point he was even laying down on the bike. "He’s crazy.", Dakota said. "He’s just Jeff.", Matt responded. Once back at Jeff’s, their dad came over. Mia interviewed him and Dakota took a few pictures of the three Hardy men together. After he left, Dakota took some pictures of Jeff’s new house. It was very unique. Some of their friends came over to hang out. They all watched a movie while Mia did some more interviewing and Dakota took some more pictures. At the end of the day, they were both shocked at how very down to earth both of the men were, very different than they had expected. Last Chapter ..*.. Next Chapter ..*.. Chapter Index ..*.. Home |
