MEMORIES OF DIGITAL EQUIPMENT 'If I could reach higher ...' Gloria Estefan A Digital Equipment year would not be complete without the Digital 100, where all the winners of the AP organization congregate. Here we see Butch Marking delivering an acceptance speech with Graham Long in the background. This was 1996. With Butch is the sales and marketing team. Here we see Ogie Ruiz, who now heads his own company with an ex-Digital Rommel Dimabuyo dealing with asset management; Carlito Roman, my boss himself, who lately headed CSN's operations but apparently is no longer there; Maritess Enriquez, my sparring partner taking care of SSS, who has moved to Oracle as an Alliance Manager but who currently moved to Oracle Applications group; Isabel Bales, who left Digital just before the merger completed and joined Deloitte and Touche as HR manager; Rosan Sison, who was head as Country Sales manager but who also left prior to the merger at a worst time for Digital with sales down, as in really down, with the financial crisis in full speed; Kit Zavala who is Channel Sales, who also left Digital post-merger to join SAS Institute as its country sales and marketing manager; and Rey Chan who left prior to the merger. During Digital 100s, aside from the sessions there were also times for fun. And normally the games would be beach games. In this picture, they were playing the holey hole. The last Digital 100 was held in Hong Kong. Here, the entire technical support team was able to join in what would be the last. My wife would join me in these happy occasions. In this picture is Ronald de Guzman with his father. Ronald has since left Digital prior to the merger to join Carlito Roman to CSN. He has since left and joined CA. I would like you to meet the technical support team. |
