Biography
       Born on April 10th, 1974 in Monza (Milan), Marco Marinoni studied composition with Mario Garuti at Conservatorio A. Boito in Parma. He took a full mark cum laude diploma in Electronic Music under the guidance of Alvise Vidolin at Conservatorio B. Marcello in Venice, where he is currently enrolled in the Diploma Sperimentale di Secondo Livello.

His interests as a composer include as well classic contemporary music, electronic and electroacoustic experimentation, live electronics, video art, installations and rock improvisation.

In 2002 he was awarded the Prix du Trivium in th
e 29e Concours International de Musique et d'Art Sonore Electroacoustiques - Bourges 2002. Marco Marinoni was finalist for the Internatioanl Gaudeamus Composers Competition 2002 and 2003. In 2005 his piece Wahn was selected for the CD Punti di Ascolto 2005 by Federazione CEMAT - Roma. His piece Dove la Luce was mentioned at the same call.
In 2007 he was awarded the 1st Prize at the
Primo Concorso di Composizione per Iperviolino - Genova.
In 2008 his work
Il grifo nelle perle nere for piano and hypersampler was selected for the XVII CIM - XVII Colloquium on Music and Informatics and his essay Atomi distratti was included in the Proceedings of the Colloquium. His piece ToWalkTheNight was selected at the first International Electroacoustic Music Festival EMUFEST - Rome.
