IMAGE NO.03 The lower sketch in the image above depicts a typical highway battery exchange station which would permit ,like the autos of today , the same quick and convenient refueling in even less time than the present gas stations presently using gas pumps attendants. Those exchange stations would be entirely automatic. With a minimum amount of space also shown above, buses , semi-trailers, trucks, vans and autos each requiring various quantities depending on the range to be attained but all using the same batteries (of the same size and voltage)but like the various gas choices today, have various contents at different stations to suit one's preferences and in a minute or two be on their way again and repeat the same refuel sequence elsewhere again and again. The 4 photos above are existing prototype electric cars.See www.evac.ca in heavy print above to access them for more data. The first is Chrysler, then Chevrolet,Honda and a Ford. Beautiful cars but you can't go far (150 miles)without having to wait hours while recharging them.Instead as you may notice the pictures were altered showing substantial a squre meter by 25cm high cavities in the front (and rear)to permit a quick insertion and extraction of a globally accepted (see below)standard battery also using but one voltage. The content may vary, providing various brand choices, but like present gas stations we'll have that option to choose and 'refuel'in a minute. More info on 'THE FINAL CHOICE' battery will be added to these pages later. AS we see below, many patented concepts exist also leading in that direction. As further transitions will occur even highway swap stations can at a higher rate volume provide us with whatever quick replacement energy the world would need in any country. For the source of that energy requirement see (Global solar energy sytem in (index 10.html)at the bottom of this page).Even buses, truck, vans,(Hit page 2a below) and autos can using all the same batteries (quantities vary )stop for a quick 'refueling' and are on their way again. The simplicity of these new vehicles having motors within the wheel itself and being the only moving part with no gear trains or any other components makes the vehicles much lighter even with the inclusion of the batteries.(cont.) |
IMAGE NO.04 Again in this illustration, like the first ones above ("Street rag 138")depicts applications for exchanging batteries, the same (size, voltage(55v), and interfacing characteristics) as in cars, for trucks, vans, semi-trailers, buses, where they are replaced on each side rather than at the front and rear like the low profiled autos. Upon entrance between the battery charging and flow towers the driver is merely a "passenger" his controls are cutoff and the system takes over(for a minute or two) and then he's on his way. A credit card or cash was all it took.(no checks...please!) the range is determined by the content choice of the battery and the number of swapped batteries. For instance the "semis" could accommodate up to 30 batteries with an extensive range of 800 miles. Far fetched?...we'll see! All the towers are designed in a way that they could be enlarged to accommodate a higher volume of batteries corresponding to the traffic demand. At a later date we'll get into the "nuts and bolts" of it all. I'll design them, if need be.Like the design shown in "Street rag 138" the trucks, buses etc also have the same type electric motors mounted in each wheel with exceptional torque and speed capacity exceeding the vehicles of today. As we can see, there is the possibility contrary to self-interest groups to provide for immediate transition to electric vehicles now to protect our future generations. Don't permit them (Auto, Oil, U.S. Advanced battery consortium, or whoever , tell us we must wait. That's B.S. and they know it....and the're ready to grab these concepts for themselves. No way, I dare them!(cont.) |
IMAGE NO. 05 A GLOBAL STANDARD EV BATTERY...Rather than the usual notion that every one thinks they have the best "mouse trap" and going nowhere with it, there's just as much money to be made by standardizing one battery that fits all EV's and having one size and voltage and interchangable with all charging-exchange stations anywhere around the world. If AC is a preference a converter may be incorporated in the vehicles. The contents become irrelevent as long as they meet global standards established at a meeting by all Departements Of Transpotation from every country.(cont) |
IMAGE NO.06 Above. In two minutes the bus can have 16 batteries replaced. AS shown in sketch in image four above, the batteries are located in the lower portion of the luggage compartments on each side of the bus where they are extracted and loaded from battery towers on each side as shown above.((cont.) |
