| True Love Conquers All - Chapter 5-6 The next day, Jocelyn received a call from Travis and he told Jocelyn that she would be able to take a driving test once she got home and if she passed then she would be able to get her drivers license because she would be having to drive around for different model shoots and stuff. Later the day, about noon, Jocelyn received a call from Britney. Britney wanted to know if Jocelyn wanted to go shopping and Jocelyn figured that since she got the credit card and could get $1000 dollars worth of Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren clothes, she could go shopping with Britney and get some new clothes. Britney came and picked Jocelyn up and they went shopping. Britney took Jocelyn to the Tommy store there in Orlando. They both picked out some great clothes and had a wonderful time shopping together. They exchanged phone numbers so that they could keep in touch. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn got up early Saturday morning, got dressed and went to Justin's house. When she got there, Justin was still asleep. Lynn told Jocelyn to go ahead and go inside and wake him up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: Justin..... wake up. Justin: ::says tiredly:: Oh hey Jocelyn, what are you doing here?! Jocelyn: I just figured that I would come over and maybe we could go for a morning jog or something. I want to make the most of my last day here. Justin: Sounds like a good idea, but me?! run?! Are you kidding?! ::laughs:: Just kidding. Yeah, I'll go. Let me get around here. Jocelyn: No hurry, take your time. I'll be downstairs talking to your mom. Justin: Okay. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lynn: So what do you have planned for today?! Jocelyn: Oh, not much. I just kinda wanted to go for a morning jog on the beach or something. I thought that it would be really cool because I have never been to Flordia. I don't know what we're going to do the rest of the day. Lynn: Sounds like fun. Ya know, I don't know whether I should say this or not, but what the heck. Justin has been talking A LOT about you lately. I think that he really likes you. Jocelyn: Do you really?! Ya know, I really don't even think that I have comprehended this whole trip. I mean, first I get an offer for a modeling agency, then I meet Justin, the guy that has been my total inspiration for the past few years, then I meet Britney Spears, who I have also really idolized, and to top it all of, I signed a modeling contract with IMG modeling agency. Lynn: To tell you the truth, I don't know how I would be handeling all of this if it happened to me either. It's just a LOT to swallow at one time. Jocelyn: You're telling me! Thanks for telling me about Justin though. I am really glad that I am aware of this now. Lynn: No problem! Now you are going to come and see us sometime, right?! I mean, you're not totally going to forget about us after this trip are you?! Jocelyn: I will come back, that is if ya'll want me to. Lynn: Of course! I will be offended if you don't come back! ::smiles:: Jocelyn: Okay! I will be back! ::Justin walks in:: Justin: And what are we up to down here?! Lynn: Talking about you! ::smiles:: Justin: Oh great! I'm in trouble now, huh?! Where did you actually want to go jogging?! Jocelyn: I don't know. Something close to water maybe. Justin: Tell you what, I have the perfect place. Jocelyn: Alright, let's go. Justin: Okay, see you mom! Jocelyn: Bye Lynn! Lynn: Have fun you two! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin took Jocelyn to a cove near the edge of the lake. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: WOW!!! This is the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen Justin! It's amazing! Justin: It's my favorite place! I love it! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They talked the whole time that they were jogging. The jog was the most beautiful thing that Jocelyn had ever done. It was really relaxing. After the jog, they sat down near the water and talked. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin: Jocelyn, I still can't believe that I have met someone like you that is like sooo totally understandable. You are amazing! I don't reply to all my e-mails but it's REAL luck that I replied to yours! Jocelyn: How can you be soo happy about meeting me?! I mean, how do you think that I feel?! Justin: Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ignore that. I mean, I know that there are a lot of girls out there that have a "crush" on me. I'm sorry. Jocelyn: Oh don't be! If you are happy about meeting me, then I'm happy for you. (At this time, Jocelyn noticed Justin staring at her lips. Kinda hard to say what it was like.) Justin, if you want to kiss me, just do it! ::Justin kissed Jocelyn:: Jocelyn: WOW! Justin: You can say that again. Jocelyn, how did you know that I wanted to kiss you?! Jocelyn: You are just like me. If I want to kiss someone, then I will sit there and stare at there lips and I thought that I was the only one that did that. Justin: No! You are definitely not! I guess that I never really noticed that I did that. Thanks for pointing it out. ::smiles:: ::They kissed again:: Justin: Are you ready to go back to my place?! We can wash up and figure out what we want to do the rest of the day. Jocelyn: Okay, let's go! I could use some freshening up! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They drove back to Justin's house and both went into the bathroom to freshen up! (Yes!! It was two different bathrooms you sick people! :)) Jocelyn put on a pair of TOMMY jeans and a halter top. Then she walked into the living room and guess who was sitting there?! It was the rest of the guys from 'N Sync!! Jocelyn couldn't believe it and she started crying and ran back into the bathroom! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ::knock on the door:: Jocelyn: Who is it?! Justin: It's Justin, can I come in?! Jocelyn: Yeah, go ahead. Justin: What's wrong?! Why are you crying?! Jocelyn: I'm sorry, I feel SOO stupid! It's just back to the whole "you've all been my inspiration" thing. I'm sorry, I do feel really stupid. Justin: Don't be! But you don't have to worry. The rest of the guys are just as down to earth as I am. Don't worry about it, okay?! Jocelyn: Okay. Justin: Do you want a hug?! Jocelyn: That would be nice, thank you. ::they hug:: Justin: Okay, let's go back out there and try this again, okay?! Jocelyn: Okay! ::smiles:: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They walk back into the living room. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin: Ya'll, this is Jocelyn. Jocelyn: Hi. Justin: She's kinda shy, but don't worry, she's a great! Jocelyn: ::smiles:: Joey: So Jocelyn, how old are you?! Jocelyn: 14 Joey: Really?! You don't look that young! I would have guessed 17 or 18. Jocelyn: Thanks. That's what Justin said. Joey: So you are a freshman in high school?! How do you like it?! Jocelyn: Yeah. It's a LOT different from junior high school. You have a lot more freedom! Lance: I heard about the modeling contract Jocelyn, that is SOO great! Jocelyn: Thanks!! It's a dream come true, let me tell you! I never thought that I had the looks or the body or anything to do it, but I am really happy now! Joey: Well, as far as I can tell, you have both the looks and the body! Jocelyn: Thanks! So what do you guys plan on doing tonight?! Joey: I don't know. Probably just going to go out to a club or something. Let you and Justin hang out for a while. Justin: Well, since we have the whole day, why don't we all just go out driving around and just chill?! Lance: Sounds like fun. Let's do it! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin, Jocelyn, Lance, Chris, JC and Joey all got into Justin's mom's suburban and started driving around. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: Tell you what Justin, can you stop by the store and let me run in and get film for my camera?! I would love to get some pictures today. I mean, it's not everyday that you get to hang out with 'N Sync. Justin: Yeah! Let's just run by there get some. Then do you want to go to the lake?! Jocelyn: I am up for it. :turns to the rest of the guys: Do ya'll want to go?! Chris: Yeah! Let's go! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They stopped by the store and let Jocelyn out to go get film and then the went to the lake. The day was spent at the lake and Jocelyn had the best time of her life. The guys were the nicest guys that she had EVER met. They were all just messing around in the water and dunking people. They had a blast. Later that night, they rented some movies and they all layed around Justin's house and watched the movies. About 2am the next morning, after all the movies were done, Jocelyn figured that she should go back to her hotel room since she had to get up and catch her flight the next morning. Justin got up and drove her to the hotel. They got to the hotel and had a little talk before Justin left. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin: What time is your flight tomorrow?! Jocelyn: 2:00 Justin: Do you want me to come and pick you up at about 10 and them have you come back here and say goodbye to the rest of the guys and then I will take you to the airport! Is that okay?! Jocelyn: Sounds great, but if you have something better to do, then I can just crab a cab. Justin: NO NO NO!!! I will be here. There is NOTHING that I would rather do. Jocelyn: Okay, see you tomorrow Justin. ::They kissed and Justin left.:: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next morning, Justin was at Jocelyn's hotel room at 10am, like he had said. Jocelyn grabbed the TONS of clothes that the agency had given her and they went back to Justin's house. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: Well guys, I want to thank ya'll for putting up with me for the past few days. You guys are too awesome! Lynn: No problem Jocelyn. You have to come back and visit us soon, okay?! Jocelyn: SURE!! Ya'll can even come up and see me if you want! JC: We might just have to do that! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn gave them all hugs and Justin and Jocelyn headed to the airport. Jocelyn and Justin had a long kiss before she stepped onto the airplane. Then Jocelyn started crying. She was SOO sad. She did NOT want to leave them all behind. Justin gave Jocelyn his cellphone number and told her to call him. Then she got on the airplane and had a LONG trip to think about what the past week has meant to her. The next week was a complete high for Jocelyn because of all that she had just been through. She took the pictures from her trip to school with her and suddenly she became the most popular girl at school among all the girls that LOVED 'N Sync. Jocelyn said to herself that she would not let any of these people get into her life since they had been so.... not nice to her before. Even the guys started to take interest, with her modeling contract and all. She had gotten asked out plenty of times but she had turned them all down because she didn't want to give into their ways. Justin called Jocelyn numerous times just to check up on her. There was hardly a day go by that they hadn't talked on the phone or the computer. Justin said that he had never been on the computer soo much in his entire life. One day, Justin called Jocelyn up and asked her what she was doing for the Super Bowl. She said that she didn't know for sure, probably just going to a friend's house. Then Justin told Jocelyn that he would fly her down to Orlando for his birthday is she wanted to come down! The second he asked this, Jocelyn ran in and asked her parents if she could go to Orlando and see Justin. They debated for a while and then finally said that she could. Jocelyn was SOO happy!! She couldn't believe that she would actually get to see Justin again. That Friday, Jocelyn was on a plane to Orlando. She had talked to her mom and she said that she would not be going to school on Monday because that's the day that she would be coming back. Jocelyn got to the airport in Orlando and expected to have to take a cab to Justin's house. To Jocelyn's suprise, Justin himself was there to pick her up. She couldn't believe it. She went up to him and gave him a BIG hug. They then grabbed Jocelyn's bag and drove to Justin's house. Everyone (Lynn, Paul, JC, Lance, Joey and Chris) was at Justin's house to suprise Jocelyn. They were all SOO happy to see her and she was just as happy, if not more, to see them. The whole day was just spent talking and laughing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: So who are you guys going for in the Super Bowl?! Justin: Atlanta Chris: Denver Lance: Denver JC: Denver Joey: Atlanta Justin: Who are you going for?! Jocelyn: Atlanta! Of course!! I hate Denver! ::smiles:: JC: Well, I guess it is kinda even matched here. Let the best team win! Jocelyn: Well, I think that I should go grab me a hotel room so that I can get some sleep. Justin: Oh no you aren't. Jocelyn: What?! Justin: You are going to stay here with us. We have an extra bedroom. No need in getting a hotel room. Jocelyn: Are you sure?! Justin: Of course! And I won't take "No" for an answer. Jocelyn: Okay, I guess I have no choice then. Justin: Here, I'll show you your room! Jocelyn: Okay. Goodnight everyone! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin took Jocelyn to the extra bedroom upstairs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin: I am SOO happy that you are here. I really missed you. Jocelyn: I missed you too. ::Justin kisses Jocelyn:: Jocelyn: What was that for?! Justin: Jocelyn, I just got to come out and say it right now that I REALLY like you! It's so hard to have a relationship these days, with the stupid paparazzi and everything. It's even harder to start something with another celebrity because then you have double trouble with the whole private life thing and I just want to have a normal life like everyone else. Jocelyn: And I want you to be happy. I mean, the whole "no private life" thing is really stupid and when the rumor started about you and Britney Spears, to tell you the truth I was kinda heartbroken, but I was truly happy for you if you are happy and that goes for anyone that you date. I'm serious. Justin: Well, Jocelyn, the only person that I can be truly happy with right now is you! Jocelyn: What are you saying Justin?! Justin: Will you be my girlfriend?! I will tell the whole world about us if we can just be together. Jocelyn: Gee.... I don't know. I mean, I like you and everything, but I vowed never to get involved with a celebrity. To tell you the truth, I never thought I would ever have a chance with a celebrity, but if I ever did, I vowed not to start anything with them. Justin: Well, it will be different. I promise!! Jocelyn, do you like me?! Jocelyn: Of course I do! What's there not to like?! Justin: Then go out with me. I promise to try to keep you hidden from the public if you would want to be. Jocelyn: I don't know Justin, can I think about it?! Justin: Yeah, I'll let you sleep on it. Jocelyn: Okay, thanks! Justin: Remember that I will always be here for you no matter what though! Jocelyn: I will. Justin: G'Night. Jocelyn: Night. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn layed awake that night and drove herself crazy thinking about Justin. (No pun intended) She couldn't believe that the man that was loved by millions actually wanted to be with her. Jocelyn cried that night but she couldn't figure out whether they were tears of joy or tears of pain. Jocelyn cried herself to sleep. Jocelyn woke up the next morning feeling refreshed, but she still hadn't got the weight off of her shoulders from Justin's question. She decided just to put it off. Jocelyn got dressed and walked into the living room and woke Joey up. (Joey had stayed the night because he was there soo late that he had just fallen asleep and didn't feel like going home.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: Joey?! Joey: Oh hey Jocelyn. What's up?! Jocelyn: Well, I need to go and get Justin a birthday present and I figured that you would know him better than I would, so will you with me?! Joey: Yeah, let me go and take a shower and get dressed, okay?! Jocelyn: Okay, but try to be quiet and not wake Justin up. Joey: Alright, I will try. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn walked into the kitchen and saw Lynn preparing breakfast for everyone. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lynn: Hey Jocelyn, up so early?! Jocelyn: Yeah, I just woke up Joey and we are going to go shopping for Justin's present. Wait! I don't know we're going to go shopping! I don't have a vehicle! Dang!! I hadn't thought about that. Lynn: Tell you what, why don't you just take Justin's Mercedes?! Jocelyn: Oh no, I couldn't possibly! Lynn: Yeah, go ahead! Trust me, he won't mind! Jocelyn: Are you sure?! Lynn: Yeah, here are the keys! Go ahead! Jocelyn: Alright, if you say so. Thanks Lynn, you are the best! ::Joey walks in:: Joey: Hey Jocelyn, I just thought of something. Jocelyn: What's that?! Joey: How are we going to go shopping because I don't have my car here. Justin picked me up yesterday. Jocelyn: Lynn gave me the keys to Justin's Mercedes. She said that he wouldn't mind and I am just taking her word for it. Joey: Oh! No, he won't mind. I drive it sometimes too. Jocelyn: Okay, ready to go?! Joey: Yeah, let's go! Jocelyn: Bye Lynn! Lynn: Bye kids! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joey and Jocelyn drove around looking for some stores to shop in. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: So what do you think that I should get him?! Joey: I'm not quite sure. Anything baby blue, I know. Jocelyn: Well what did you get him?! Joey: I just got him a couple of baby blue TOMMY shirts! Jocelyn: Oh, that was a good idea. Joey: Yeah. You know Jocelyn, you have been acting strange today. Is there anything that's bothering you?! Jocelyn: Well, yeah, kinda. Joey: What is it?! Jocelyn: Do you promise not to say anything?! Joey: I promise. Jocelyn: Well, last night, Justin asked me if I would be his girlfriend. Joey: Yeah..... what did you say?! Jocelyn: I told him that I didn't know and I will have to sleep on it. But the problem is that I have slept on it and I still don't know what to do. What do you think I should do?! Joey: Gee Jocelyn, I don't know. I mean, do you like him?! Jocelyn: Of course I like him. I guess I am just kinda worried about what everyone would say about our age difference. Joey: Who cares what anyone would say?! Apparently Justin is not worried about it and if he's not worried about it then why should you care if it's going to bother him?! Jocelyn: Well, I guess that is true. I don't know. I REALLY REALLY like him! Joey: Then I would say go for it! Jocelyn: Yeah, I think I will. Thank you Joey! You are the best!! Joey: No problem girl! I am here for you anytime that you need to talk. Jocelyn: Thanks! That's what I need. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joey and Jocelyn walked through tons of stores and couldn't figure out what to get Justin for his birthday. Finally, they walked into a store and Jocelyn saw the perfect thing EVER to get for him. It's was about a foot and a half tall pewter picture frame that was in the shape of a heart. She felt that this was the perfect present. She would put the picture that JC took of her and Justin last time they were here in the frame. It was a small gift, but she felt that the thought was sure in it. Then Jocelyn and Joey headed back to the house. They wrapped the present before they went into the house and hid it in JC's jeep that was sitting outside of Justin's house. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin: ::in an angry voice:: What were you doing with my Mercedes?! Jocelyn: Well...... uh..... you're mom said that I could... uh.... I'm sorry. Justin: ::laughs:: I was just messing with you girl!! I don't care. Jocelyn: ::hits Justin:: Don't do that to me again!! That wasn't funny!! Justin: Sorry. Jocelyn: That's okay. ::smiles:: Justin: So where have you and Joey been?! Jocelyn: We went and ate breakfast. He was the only one up and I was hungry so we decided to go out. ::Joey winks at Jocelyn:: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn walked into the living room and sat down. Justin followed her. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin: So did you think about what I said last night?! Jocelyn: Yes, I did and to tell you the truth, I really didn't know what to do until I talked to Joey today. He helped me see that the only thing that I was really scared about was the age difference and how critics would react and he told me that I shouldn't worry about that because apparently you are't worried about it. Justin: Joey's right. I don't care what the critics say. Jocelyn: I know that now. So my answer is yes! Justin: Are you sure?! Jocelyn: Yes! Justin: Oh my gosh girl!!! You will not regret it, I PROMISE!!!! Jocelyn: I know I won't. ::They start kissing and Joey walks in.:: Joey: So I guess you told him huh?! ::smiles:: Jocelyn: Yeah! Joey: Congratulations you two! Justin: Thanks Joey! So do you want to come with us to the interview that we have today?! Jocelyn: Oh, I didn't know that you guys had an interview. Yeah! I would love to go! Justin: Okay, Joey, are JC, Chris and Lance ready?! Joey: Yeah, they just walked outside. Justin: Okay, let's go. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn walked outside and grabbed JC as soon as she could and told him about Justin's present that she had put in his truck and to not let him see it. He said that he wouldn't. Jocelyn hopped into Justin's Mercedes and they went to the recording studio. Right after they finished the interview...... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin: Jocelyn, do you have a piece of gum?! Jocelyn: Yeah. There's one in my bag, help yourself. ::Justin walks over and a few seconds later walks back.:: Justin: What are these?! ::Justin hands Jocelyn a couple pieces of sheet music.:: Jocelyn: Oh, that's just something that I've been working on in my free-time. Don't worry about it. Chris: No, I want to hear this. Will you sing it for us Jocelyn?! Jocelyn: Yeah, I guess, if you want me to. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn sang the first song which she had entitled "Baby One More Time" (Yes! I know that it's already Britney Spears' song, but just use your imagination with me, okay?!). The guys ABSOLUTELY loved the song!!! Jocelyn had even done her dance moves that she had made up. The guys insisted on hearing the rest of the songs so Jocelyn sang "Sometimes", "Daydreamin'", "Have You Ever" and "Angel of Mine". (Hey!! This is a fiction story, so bare with me!) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JC: Jocelyn!! Those were SOO awesome!! Lance: You have a beautiful voice!! Jocelyn: Thanks! Justin: I thought that you said that you did this in your spare-time! Jocelyn: Hey, what can I say?! I have a lot of spare-time! ::Justin walks out of the room.:: Chris: I guess we found a girl that can do everything! Jocelyn: Oh stop it you guys! ::smiles:: ::Justin walks back in the room:: Jocelyn: Hey! Where did you go?! Justin: Jocelyn, here. I want you to talk to someone. ::hands Jocelyn the cellphone:: Jocelyn: Hello?! Lynn: Jocelyn, this is Lynn! Jocelyn: Oh hey! Lynn: Justin tells me that you have an amazing voice and he wants me to sign you to a record deal. I haven't heard your voice yet, but I will and I also take Justin's word very seriously and if he says that you have what it takes, then I am with him all the way. Jocelyn: OH MY GOSH!! Are you serious?! Lynn: Yes, when you get back to the house, we can talk some more, okay?! Jocelyn: Okay! Thanks!! ::Hangs up the phone:: ::Screams:: Justin!! You are TOOO awesome!!! ::Gives Justin a great big hug and then kisses him!:: Lance: Wow!! What did you do Justin?! Justin: I called my mom and she is going to sign Jocelyn to a record deal!!! JC: That's incredible!! Congratulations girl!! Jocelyn: Thanks. I think that I am in shock right now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As soon as they got back to Justin's house, Jocelyn got on the phone with her parents and they were SOOO happy for her!! They told her that whatever she wanted to do, they would stand behind her 100%!!! Jocelyn signed the papers for her record deal with Just In Time Entertainment! (Lynn's company) She couldn't believe that this was happening to her. First of all she would have to record her debut album which was going to take some time, so she decided not to go back to school for a while. She was going to fly back to Wichita on Monday, go get her stuff so that she could stay longer and then get some of her school work because she decided that she didn't want to fall back on her studies. The news of Jocelyn staying in Orlando for a while longer made a lot of people very happy. All the guys loved having her around and since they had the rest of the month off to work on their album and just chill, Jocelyn wouldn't be alone hardly at all while she was there. The Super Bowl party went great!! The only bad thing was that Denver won! hehe. When Justin opened his present from Jocelyn, he absolutely positively LOVED it! He got such great things from all of the guys and his parents. It was a wonderful day. Monday came and Jocelyn got up and got ready to go to the airport. Justin had decided to go with her and she couldn't of been more happy about that. They said goodbye to everyone and went to the airport. This was definitely Jocelyn's flight to success. |
