| True Love Conquers All - Chapter 9-10 With Monday came great anticipation. Monday meant the taping of Jocelyn's first ever music video! Jocelyn was SOOO excited about it. To her suprise, it seemed as if Justin was even more excited about it then she was, which was a huge suprise. Justin said that he could feel the huge success of his girlfriend's career beginning. Everyone was awake at 4am that morning to head to the Orlando high school, which would be shutting off certain parts of the school for the taping of the video. To Jocelyn suprise, Britney Spears and Tatyana Ali were there for the video shoot. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: What are you two doing here? Britney: Well, Justin called us up and we have been working on the dance steps for the past few days. He wanted it to be a suprise. We are going to be dancing in the video. Justin: I hope you don't mind that I called them. I just thought that it would really help your video and song take off.. not that that is going to be a problem right now... but you know, with all of us in it, it will bring more people towards your video. You know? ::kisses Justin:: Justin: What was that for? Jocelyn: Thank you SOO much! You are unbelievable! Justin: So I take it that you don't mind? Jocelyn: Don't mind? Are you kidding? I love it!! It's an excellent idea. No during the video, when we do all the partner stuff, Joey can dance with Ashley, JC with Jennifer, Chris with Britney and Lance with Tatyana. Sound good? Tatyana: Whatever you want Jocelyn! This is your big day! Jocelyn: You guys are the best! And again, thank you for doing this. Britney: No problem. Your a good friend and we love helping you out in any way that we can. Plus we are going to have fun today! Jocelyn: Okay. Not to be pushy though, but we need to get this started. Justin: You're right. Let's go you guys! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The day went rather smoothly, since it was Jocelyn's first video and also her first day directing the video. There were some gliches, but they seemed to be able to work them out rather easily and continued with the video shoot. They took an hour and a half for lunch, but was right back there taping right afterwards! Around 8:00 that night, the video was done!! Being taped, that is. They still had the editing and all to do. Jocelyn decided that she didn't want to do that part. Joey and Lance volunteered to do it and Jocelyn was fine with that plan. Everyone left for the night and since everyone was tired, they went home. Britney and Tatyana decided to stay at Jocelyn's apartment with her, Jennifer and Ashley. The second they got there, they were all crashed! It had been a long day for all of them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn was woke up the next morning by Tatyana, who handed her the phone. It was Justin. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jocelyn: Hey baby! What's up? Justin: Not much, did I wake you up? Jocelyn: Yeah, but that's okay. I needed to get up anyways. Justin: Okay. Well, I was just wondering that since you were going to be going on tour with us starting Wednesday, then we probably need to go and get your bus ready and stuff. You know? Jocelyn: Yeah, I guess you're right. Man! I can't believe that the tour is coming up this fast already! It's amazing! EVERYTHING seems to be happening too fast. Justin: Yeah, I know, but you better get used to it because once your single hits the airwaves, it's going to start going REALLY fast! Jocelyn: Do you really think that it will be that big of a hit? Justin: Oh yeah! No doubt in my mind. Everyone is going to be wondering who you are because there hasn't been much publicity on you yet. Jocelyn: I know, they are going to be like, "Who the heck is she?" Oh well, I think that I am ready for it! Justin: Alright, so do you want me to come and pick you guys up? Jocelyn: Yeah, I'm going to have to wake Ashley and Jennifer up, then get ready. Give us an hour and a half, okay? Justin: Okay, see ya then! Jocelyn: Bye! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The whole day was spent taking one of 'N Sync's buses and turning into a girl's domain! Jocelyn picked one of their older buses that had less bunks (4) and more closet space. They took the bus back to Jocelyn's apartment complex where they started to pack uniforms for the concerts and some of their other stuff in it. Jocelyn couldn't believe how fast that the place filled up. Justin and Jocelyn decided that they needed to have laptop computers to converse with each other and to do other things while they were traveling. They both went out and bought a laptop a piece. Then Jocelyn bought a Playstation and some games to pass the time that they would be traveling on the bus. She picked up some more little things that she figured that would be needed. At the end of the day, Jocelyn came home to discover that Jennifer had went out with JC and Ashley had went out with Joey. Britney and Tatyana were still at her apartment and Justin told her that since they were only in town for 1 more day, then she should spend the rest of the night with them. Justin left Jocelyn his Mercedes to drive just in case they wanted to go out and he had his mom come and pick him up. He kissed her goodnight and they (Jocelyn, Britney and Tatyana) went out to see a good movie. The whole night was a blast and it was 11pm before they realized it. They figured that since they had to leave at 5am to start the tour tomorrow, that they should go ahead and go to bed and that's exactly what they did. Jocelyn's alarm clock went off the next morning at 4am. Jocelyn quickly got up, went into wake Jennifer and Ashley up, then they all started putting stuff into the tour bus quickly. Just as they were finishing packing all of their stuff in the tour bus, the guys pulled up in their tour bus. They said that it was time to hit the road for their first show in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Jocelyn, Jennifer and Ashley quickly jumped onto the bus and the tour was officially starting. After what seemed like days, they all arrived at the venue in Ft. Lauderdale. There was only a couple of hours before they needed to be at the venue, so they all decided to go out and grab a bite to eat, which was a mistake. The minute that they stepped off their bus, they were barmbarded by dozens of screaming girls that all wanted their autographs. Jocelyn, Jennifer and Ashley were quickly pushed away from the guys by all of the screaming girls. 'N Sync signed a few autographs and then cut it off so that they could get back with the girls. They all grabbed a quick bite to eat. Most of them were working the healthy food, like salad and pasta. The guys quickly learned that Jocelyn was VERY picky about the food that she ate. There were just some things that Jocelyn hated, which was a big suprise to the guys since she was just an easy going girl. They finished with the meal and jumped on the bus. (They only brought one bus to eat because they figured that it was a waste to bring both of them. Jocelyn figured that they would be spending a lot of time on the same bus. :)) The ride to the venue was short and it came all too soon for Jocelyn who was VERY nervous about performing for the first time in front of a huge crowd. When they got to the venue, everyone split up and Justin ended up finding Jocelyn sitting alone in one of the back rooms crying. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin: Hey baby, what's wrong? Jocelyn: Oh my gosh Justin, I am just worried about everything. For one, I'm scared that I'm going to mess up. I'm also scared that I am going to be hated by all of the screaming girls in the audience. What if they hate me Justin? Justin: Girl, don't worry about it. Yes, I know that you are nervous. Everyone is for their first concert. Especially performing for the very first time in front of a sold out crowd. I know that it must be tough, but if you believe in yourself, then you will do okay. I certainly believe in you and I know that the rest of the guys believe in you too. It's just up to you believing in yourself right now. Jocelyn: I don't know Justin, I'm just SOOO scared! ::hugs Justin:: Justin: You trust me don't you? Jocelyn: Yes, of course! Justin: Then trust me when I say that everything will be fine! Jocelyn: Okay, I do. ::smiles:: What would I ever do without you? Justin: I don't know! ::laughs:: Jocelyn: You are conceited. You know that too, right? ::laughs:: Justin: Of course! I'm not really, am I? Jocelyn: No, I was just messing with you. Justin: Oh, I hoped so. You are too good to me Jocelyn! Jocelyn: I know! ::smiles:: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About 20 minutes before it was time for Jocelyn to go out on stage and perform, she went in and got dressed for the concert. Her, Jennifer and Ashley came out and Jocelyn had on bright yellow vinyl pants, with a white tank top and a bright yellow jacket over it. Jennifer and Ashley both had on dark blue outfits just like Jocelyn's. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris: WOW! Joey: You took the words right out of my mouth! Justin: Damn girl... uh.... I mean... darn girl, you look good! ::laughs:: Jocelyn: Thanks. Lance: You all three truly look amazing, but how are you going to dance in those shoes? Jocelyn: Don't worry, we'll be taking them off before we do any dancing! Ashley: I think that it's impossible to dance in these! Jennifer: Yeah, we would probably break our ankles or something. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Right before Jocelyn was set to go on, her, Jennifer and Ashley got together and prayed. Then, Jocelyn gave each of the guys a hug and Justin kissed Jocelyn for good luck. The audience was really suprised to have Jocelyn come up on stage because no one knew of her coming on tour with them. It was kind of a suprise, so there wasn't much of a reaction when she did step onto the stage. Jocelyn started out performing "Daydreamin". Then she stopped for a second to introduce herself. "What's up Ft. Lauderdale?!" ::screams:: "Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jocelyn Langlois and I just recently signed to Just In Time Entertainment, Justin Timberlake's mom's independent record label. I will be releasing my first single off of my self-titled debut album in a couple of weeks and my album will be hitting stores in about a month! This is my first ever live performance, so you are the first people to ever see me perform. My next song that I will be performing is called "Sometimes"." Jocelyn then sang "Genie In A Bottle", immediately followed by "Angel of Mine", finishing off with "Baby One More Time". All in all, the show was a hit. The audience seemed to be getting into Jocelyn more and more as her performance continued. At the end of the performance, the audience seemed totally into her and she got a loud goodbye from them! Jocelyn was really suprised and happy. The night had been a total success! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The drive to the next show in two nights was a long one. Jocelyn figured that she had to be getting used to this because she was going to be doing this at least for the next 2 months of her life. The time on the road was spent checking e-mail (She still kept up with her 'N Sync fanatic friends from the internet because not any of them knew about her going on tour with them), working on her 'N Sync webpage, chatting with her friends back home in Kansas and doing homework that had to be done over the internet. Jocelyn had to end up buying a scanner to go with her laptop because she found that it was easier to do her homework on paper, scan it and then send it through e-mail. It was a lot of work, but she knew that sacrifices had to be made for chance of a lifetime. The next few shows had went by soo fast that she had not even had a chance to take it all in yet. She made sure that her, Jennifer and Ashley sported new and fresh outfits for each of the concerts. Also, word of Jocelyn must have been spreading over the internet because people began to know who she was. A few fans during meet and great also asked 'N Sync if they could meet Jocelyn and of course they said yes. Jocelyn signed autographs and talked to fans. She got to do this and get to know some of them a little better since there was only a few people that knew who she was. She felt good to have people coming up to her and actually knowing who she was. How they knew, she didn't know, but yet she didn't really care. With the passing of concerts meant the closer that it was for her single to be released. Jocelyn was SOOO excited about this and as were the guys for her. The day was quickly aproaching and she knew that it would be coming real soon. With the anticipation of her single hitting stores came nervousness of whether it would take off like the guys had promised that it would. She guessed that only time would tell. |
