A REGIONAL REVIEW
The northern limit of the Sahyadris is defined by
this region, to the north of the Selbari range the Sahyadris flattens
out. The Sahyadris start from the south of the Tapi river. NASIK
offers the most difficult mountains to climb. This area is good for
a two or three day trip, one can combine different places in one
trip. Most buses and trains leave BOMBAY at night and you
arrive at your destination by morning. For most of the places, NASIK
and SATANA are the main gateways into this
region.
