mark feldman's summer trip grand canyon part 1 - july 29-30

the north rim greeted me late on a thursday afternoon - a beautiful drive among ponderosa pines opened up into my first spectacular views of the canyon, including a sunset not to be forgotten.

the less-visited north rim is as much worth seeing as the south rim - plenty of nice hikes and views, and a more relaxed feel.  i ventured two miles down the north kaibab trail.  someday i shall traverse the entire 21 mile kaibab trail, i concluded.  on the 31st i sadly left and made the 200 mile drive to the... south rim
