mark feldman's summer trip - stop #4
cleveand/oberlin, oh - may 26-31
having been more or less my home for four years, cleveland was familiar to me in a surreal way.  my college friend kristen put me up, and we acted like tourists for a couple days, visiting the rock and roll hall of fame (which anyone who knows me will guess i had a blast in) and taking in a ballgame at cleveland's exhibit a of urban renewal, a.k.a. jacobs field.  the home team is no longer the powerhouse they were in the late '90s, but they still topped seattle in a 9-5 slugfest, and no fan was more stylish than kristen in her cool shades.
the reunion was a blast too, lack of a good night's sleep notwithstanding.  i was too busy either enjoying the company of people i hadn't seen in 5-10 years (as shown left and below) or making small talk to take many pictures, but most of you wouldn't relate much to pictures of oberlin anyway!
for those of you who might actually relate though: l to r: brian postow, kennis koldewyn, rachel (goodstein) koldewyn, elena perez, kevin munoz, and yours truly, smurfie.
on to that same old place, sweet home chicago
