mark feldman's summer trip - stop #7
graceland - june 7
it had to be done.  and it was worth it, really, it was, just to see the most excessive of the age of excess, not just the mansion but the car collection, the private planes, the outfits, the gold records... and while one can argue with elvis' taste in interior decor, there's no arguing his impact on 20th century popular music.  but i was too tired to see much else of memphis after my tour, so i elected to take a break from tourism that evening and catch the new harry potter flick.  thank you.  thank you very much.  uh-huh.
continuing south to the land of hurricanes (both the storm and the drink)
