| The Bowman Trail leads up into the Wallowas from Lostine Road. With all the granite around, it feels like Yosemite in a nutshell! This trek was taken in early July when the snow had melted enough for us to get up over 8,000' without extra gear. Streams were pretty full and we forded some very COLD creeks on the way to Laverty and Chimney Lakes. This little falls is probably dry most of the year but it was cascading diamonds for us that day. | |||||||||||||||||
