| The trail that follows the West Fork of the Wallowa River starts in the valley between Mt. Howard and Bonneville Mtn. and climbs up through an enchanting aspen forest. Once you get up into the glacier-carved valley, the view opens up considerably, with peak after peak over 9,000'.
