| Walking through the giant redwoods definitely has a calming effect on me. Somewhere in the middle of this hike, we stood on a pebbly bar by a river and I idly skipped rocks for probably twenty minutes. It seemed like such a short time, in the context of these ancient trees. We found ourselves talking in hushed voices, for no apparent reason other than, perhaps, respect. | |||||||||||||||
