Evil Plans Continued |
The Keeper Of Traken The Master takes over the bio-electric Source that maintains the universal harmony of the Traken Union. Humiliating terminal geek-boy Adric sabotages it and he is expelled. One good thing to come of this escapade is finding someone whose name is an anagram of "Master" in Tremas, a Trakenite, unable to resist the opportunity, he takes over Tremas's body before escaping. |
Logopolis "He did escape from Traken," says the Doctor, rather redundantly. The Logopolitans have realised that the only thing holding the universe together is their own mathematical calculations. When the Master turns up he starts messing about with the natives to try to trap the Doctor, he initiates the destruction of the entire universe. Once more having to work with the Doctor to undo his own botched scheme, the Master realises that he can blackmail the entire cosmos into giving him Power. When the Doctor tries to stop him, the Master pushes him off a radio telescope... |

Castrovalva Encouraged by his success at actually pulling something evil off, if not actually gaining any Power, the Master's next move is to kidnap the incredibly annoying Adric. This is only insurance though, in case the Doctor survives being sent back to the Big Bang. He of course does survive, and ends up at Castrovalva, a city created by Adric's maths as a "space/time trap." The plan is foiled when one of the Castrovalva citizens frees Adric and destroys the city, trapping the Master instead. |
Time Flight "So you did escape from Castrovalva." Quelle surprise. Back in the Pleistocene era the Master tries to take control of the Xeraphin, a gestalt with great mental Power. He gets the evil half, the Doctor turns up and helps the good half win. |
The King's Demons For no readily apparant reason, the Master decides to try to stop King John from signing the Magna Carta. He dons a ginger wig and silly french accent to go under cover as Sir Gilles Estram (...yes...), the King's champion. he uses a shape-shifting android called Kamelion to impersonate the King. The Doctor turns up and kidnaps Kamelion. |
The Five Doctors The Time Lords return the Master to Gallifrey, despite the mess he made last time. They clearly know where he is then, they just do not consider him worth worrying about. They send him into the Death Zone to rescue the various incarnations of the Doctor trapped therein. Predictably he tries to kill them seize the prize of immortality, but the Brigadier lamps him. |
Planet of Fire The Master accidentally shrinks himself to a few inches high. He goes to the planet Sarn, believing that their volcanic flame can restore him to his full height, but they burn him to death instead. |
The Mark Of The Rani The Master has never had a story named after him, and yet here's Johnny-come-lately the Rani debuting in a story named after her. While the Rani busies herself with stealing brain fluid from bizarrely-accented Geordies, the Master, as usual has a far more sinister plan. Some of the cleverest people around during the Industrial Revolution are having a get-together, so he will (somehow) harness their Power and make Earth his Power base for further Power-conquest. But he gets stuck in the Rani's TARDIS with the Rani and a Tyrannasaurus Rex. |
The Trial Of A Time Lord The Master teams up with the Doctor's dark side and the High Council of Time Lords to fix the Doctor's trial. Then he reveals what the council has been up to, causing insurrection on Gallifrey. From within the Matrix he tries to take over, but somehow manages to freeze himself. |
Survival After years and years The Master finally gets himslef a new outfit. Unfortunately he also gets himself trapped on a disintegrating planet and taken over by the resident giant talking cheetahs. And so he gets himself a tent to sit in and wait for the Doctor's inevitable arrival. The Doctor quickly finds a way back to Earth, but this isn't good enough for the Master, who decides that if he's going to turn into a big furry cat, he wants to kill the Doctor first. So he takes the Doctor back to the Cheetah Planet, just before it is destroyed. The Doctor just goes back to Earth again, leaving the Master behind. |
Doctor Who The Master is put on trial by the Daleks for his evil crimes. Yes, because the most evil race in the universe, who just want todestroyl all other species would do that wouldn't they? Like they'd find him not guilty and let him off with a slap on the wrist. Rather than just turning him negative, the Daleks make him into a transparent snake which escapes and takes over an ambulance driver's body. So the Master decides to open the Eye of Harmony, destroy the world and steal the Doctor's remaining lives. But the Doctor chucks him in the Eye and he is utterly destroyed. Again. |
