We are very involved in the SF Bear community.  Why? Well, because we ARE bears (certainly physically, we fit the shorthand description of "big, hairy gay guys) - but most importantly because the bear community around the world is one of the nicest, most generous, friendliest and just plain funnest group of guys we've met.

Also - bears believe "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and we're an inclusive group. This is very "San Francisco."  As I like to say, in SF, to be a bear, you don't have to be big, hairy, gay or even a guy, you just have to respect the community and enjoy hanging with us. ...as a matter of fact, BOSF's Treasurer is a woman, biff wilson. (biff is also Bay Area Cub 2001 and the current Crown Prince of the SF Imperial Court) The Bears of San Francisco is a 501(c)3 charitible corporation. We've raised and donated almost a quarter million dollars to charity since our founding in 1994. On President's Day Weekend, we produce our major fundraiser - arguably the preeminent bear gathering in the world, International Bear Rendezvous. Want to learn more? Check out the links below.
