THE PLAYERS Kevin Carvell (Manager) Kevin is a one club man, made his debut at 17 years old and has been with United ever since. His playing days were cut short due to injury and he took charge of the first team 9 years ago. Has taken the club to the Madejski Stadium on five occasions as well as the crowning achievements of Reading Football League Premier Division Champions in 1999/00, eventual Champions of Reading in 2004/05 and Runners Up in the Hellenic League Division One East 2007-08. But Kevin's biggest achievement to date is promotion to the Hellenic League Premier Division which forms Step 5 of the National League Pyramid System.
Gary Wiltshire ( (Assistant Manager) Former clubs include Maidenhead United, Marlow, Flackwell Heath and Chalfont St. Peter vastly experienced striker cum centre back. An extremely important member of the United squad. Marco Sciaraffa (Head Coach) United stalwart and head coach, Scruff was instrumental as player in helping United take the step from 7 to 5 and his contribution as a coach is invaluable.
Zoë Gasper (Bsc Hons., Physiotherapy) Zoë joined the club in early December 2006 after graduating from the University of Hertfordshire in November 2006, Zoë gained a degree with honours in Physiotherapy and brings to the club expertise which will be the envy of many a football club. Zoë's appointment fulfils the clubs 'duty of care' towards its playing staff. Zoë has now become an important member of the first team squad and very much 'one of the boys', excepting she looks better!
Carl Murray (Goalkeeper) - Age 25 Joined the club last season and suffered an injury stricken time but when fit has proven to be a top quality keeper.
Mark Ramsey (Goalkeeper) - Age 34 Experienced keeper who joined the club from Cookham Dean and negotiated the big step up from 7 to 5 admirably. On his day is as good as any keeper around.
Tony Cooper (Goalkeeper) - Age 36 Has vast experience and played for the successful promotion winning and Reading Senior Cup winning team of 2007-08.
Ben Filmore (Defence/Midfield) Age 21 Ben is a first team regular and has matured into the role of utility player, can perform equally well in midfield or defence. Product of the Marlow Youth Academy.
Tristan Heywood (Defence) Age 31 Captain Captain who leads by example and brings experience and class to the table. Has provided consistently top class performances and returns from an injury stricken 2008-09 season a welcome returnee and can almost be considered a top new signing.
Dan Pedley (Midfield) Age 33 Determined and dogged midfielder blessed with skill. Was the managers player of the year for 2008-09.Previous clubs include Marlow & Maidenhead United FC.
Doug Buchanan (Midfield) Age 28 Strong and able midfielder. Doug is a key influence in United's midfield. Dogged and determined and is expected to make a major impact this season.
Ollie Flint (Defender) Age 19 Follows a long line of Flint's to play for United. Ollie has come through United's A and reserve team system and now a first team regular providing mature and accomplished displays for the first team..
Jason Bowler (Wide Midfield) Age 28 Former England youth international a classy experienced player who has the ability to turn a match, powerful on the ball and a true match winner. Recently returned from a short spell at Witney United
Ryan Britnell (Defender) Age 20 Ryan joined the club last season and quickly settled into a first team role has proven a top quality signing with much more yet to come.
Lee Ovens (Defender) Age 26 Last seasons player of the year. Lee negotiated the jump from step 7 to 5 with admirable ease and played in 54 out of a possible 55 matches last season, reliable, strong and a winning mentality. Jon Mason (Forward/Midfield) Age 19 Match winning performer who on his day can be a nemesis for opposition defences has ability to create and score with equal venom.
Nick Flint (Defence/Midfield) Age 24 Made his United first team debut nine years ago aged 15 has since been a stalwart for the club and now progressing into an established and reliable central defender.
Scott Webb (Midfield) Age 28 Formerly of Marlow and Slough Town Scott is a tenacious midfield player whose ball winning ability is a crucial part of the United set up.
Dan Flint (Utility) Age 22 Dan was last seasons reserve team player of the year but also made many appearances fro the first team and played an integral role in many important matches culminating in United's premiership survival. Leigh Mason (Forward/Midfield) Age 23 A class act who resumes his role as a supporting player with his first priority being Staines Town. Leigh has been a member of United fro many of his young years and can always be relied upon to rush to United's aid in times of need. Ross Middleton (Midfield) Age 25 All action midfield powerhouse, has the ability to cover every blade of grass and often does as a cause is never lost with Ross on the field. Adam Dickens (Midfield) Age 21 Playing for Windsor Adam similarly to Leigh made his senior debut for United at just 15 and quickly established himself as a much sought after player nevertheless is always available to help United in crisis. Gregg Corbett (Midfield) Age 30 New signing from Wellington Amateurs who play in the West Midlands League, Gregg helped the team to the first division championship last season and we will track his progress with much interest. Andrew 'Boxer' Nichol (Forward) Age 25 Made his debut for the club at the latter end of last season and instantly gave United options with his strong play and with the added bonus of an eye for goal. Scored winning goal in United's shock cup final victory over Hungerford Town. Scott Benyon (Defender) Age 24 Talented defender who fought his way back from serious injury and began to produce performances to levels of expectation at the back end of lasts season, a great opportunity for Scott to re-establish himself this season. Billy Mason (Forward) Age 18 Third of the Mason brothers to join United and its highly anticipated that Billy will follow in the footsteps of Jon and Leigh if it proves to be the case then United will be all the stronger for it. Chris Paget (Forward) Age 23 Follows Andy Nichol from AFC Spartans and will be hoping as will the club that he can have a similar impact as 'boxer'.
