| September 2, 2002 Ah, today was a loooong day, feels like I say that everyday, phew. I started my day at 6 am, and returned back home at 9 pm. Where do I start?! We drove to the Kumbia Farm again and tried to figure out how much Tarong Flash we were really spreading. We spread tar mats in 3 random places and pinned them down. Then, the spreader went over them and we measured the amount of Tarong Flash on the mat. The reason why it took so long was because of the discrepancy in the amount we were spreading (15 tonnes/acre vs 40 tonnes/acre). The old trials were 0, 10, 20, 40, and 60 tonnes/acre. The new upcoming trials will be on 0, 15, 60, and 100 tonnes/acre. We discovered that the old trials had been on 0.5 acre, not 1 acre as we had originally thought. |

| After the Kumbia farm, we went to J.'s in-laws pineapple farm! The in-laws were such sweet people. I had a great time at their house! Not only was it very peaceful and beautiful at the farm, but the people were some of the nicest people I've met in my life =) There were also mango and avacado trees on the farm. I had the experience of picking pineapples (quite a pricky kinda experience I tell ya) and taking them home too - yum yum! | |||||||||||||

| Afterwards, I had dinner at J.'s home... again, had myself a wonderful time! In the past month or so, J. and I have covered a lot of ground from politics to religion to families to relationships to women's issues to why guys are pigs to parents to society to education... and the list goes on... J. dared me to go to Crocodile Farm and hold a python. At first I was like "no wayyy," but the more I thought about it, the more the whole idea grew on me! I was on... the bet was on!! |
