You may catch a glimpse of the clouds and the moutains meeting after a rain in the plush green valleys on a drive through the Potomac Highlands.

On your way to Canaan Valley, make a stop at the Old Mill in Harman.  The Old Mill is a water powered gristmill built in 1877.  Learn about grinding corn, barley,  wheat and rye into flour with water powered turbines.  Also learn about weaving, beekeeping and more. 

Enjoy hands-on activities for children of all ages, such as:  weaving, quilt patterns and others.

Chuff! Chuff! Hiss! Hiss!  All aboard for a ride on the Shay logging engine up a mountain on the Cass Railroad. The cars are made from old logging platforms that used to haul the lumber.
